Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XII, Christchurch Survey District, for Housing Purposes


NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at New Brighton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Agreement for Grant of Right-of-Way and Grant of Lease in Favour of Roy Herrington Robinson, of Foxton, Farmer, Lorna Florence Robinson of Foxton, Spinster, and Eileen May Wyllie, of Foxton, Widow, Over Land Situated in Block XIII, Te Kawa Survey District, Taken for Post-and-telegraph Purposes, Assented to


WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 24th day of February 1950 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 2nd day of March 1950, at page 215, all that piece of land containing 749 acres, being part of Sections 324 and 325, Township of Carnarvon, Block XIII, Te Kawa Survey District, was taken for post-and-telegraph purposes:

And whereas Roy Herrington Robinson, of Foxton, Farmer, Lorna Florence Robinson, of Foxton, Spinster, and Eileen May Wyllie, of Foxton, Widow, were entitled to compensation in respect of their interest in the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the said Roy Herrington Robinson, Lorna Florence Robinson, and Eileen May Wyllie a right-of-way over the aforesaid area in addition to the granting of a lease and the payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Roy Herrington Robinson, Lorna Florence Robinson, and Eileen May Wyllie agreed to accept such grant of right-of-way and grant of lease in addition to payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works doth hereby give notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Heavy Motor Vehicles, Being Goods Service Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936


PURSUANT to clause 22: regulation 7 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulation, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto and sample of which is deposited at the Head Office of the Transport Department, Wellington.
