Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road at Tokarahi

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waitaki County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Being Railway land in part Proclamation 481, being part Section 1, Block VIII, Maruwenua Survey District.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby revoke so much of the Proclamation dated the 10th day of August 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same year at page 2155 taking additional land near Waipuku, for the purposes of the Foxton - New Plymouth Railway (Mount Egmont Branch) as affects the area of 3 roods 35 perches described in the Schedule thereto.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O'Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a workers' hostel ; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 5th day of November 1952.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land set apart : 2 roods 1 perch.
Being Lot 1, D.P. 1181, being part Section 3, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 28, folio 93 (Westland Land Registry).
In the Westland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 138627, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
