CLIFTON COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Clifton County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, extension to metal-crusher works and future development of same and provision of land for workers’ dwellings; and for the purposes of such public work proposes to take: All that piece of land in the County of Clifton containing 14 acres and 7 perches, more or less, being the Ngatirahiri No. 5a No. 1 Block and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 148, folio 56 (Taranaki Registry).

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of the said land and to send such writing within forty days of the first publication of this notice to the Clifton County Council at its office in Queen Street, Waitara.

IN LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of JAMES DONN AND SONS, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution of the above company passed on the 26th day of September 1952, it was resolved :—

(a) That the company be wound up voluntarily;
(b) That Mr. JAMES RUSSELL RICHARDSON, of Ashburton, Inspector, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.

Notice to Creditors to Prove

The liquidator of James Donn and Sons, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 17th day of October 1952, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, known as the Brook Street Camping Ground Loan 1952, authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing sanitary conveniences for the use of the public at the Brook Street Reserve and Camping-ground, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Nelson comprising the whole of the said City of Nelson; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson City Council at a special meeting held on the 2nd day of October 1952.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, RONALD SAMUEL INGRAM and NORMAN RALPH SPARROW, both of Rotorua, Storekeepers, who have been carrying on business under the style of firm name of “Sparrow and Ingram” at Rotorua has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of October 1952, from which date the said Norman Ralph Sparrow ceased to have any interest in the said business. Any debts owing by or to the said partnership business will be discharged or received (as the case may be) by the said Ronald Samuel Ingram who will continue to carry on the business as the sole proprietor.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 338 of the Companies Act 1933 that Taranaki (N.Z.) Oil Fields, No Liability (in liquidation) incorporated in Victoria, with local registered office at Commercial Bank Chambers, 328 Lambton Quay, Wellington, will cease to have a place of business in New Zealand on the expiration of three months from the first appearance of this notice.
