NOTICE is hereby given that the final meeting of members of
the company, pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act
1933, will be held at the office of the liquidator, Fifth Floor, Argus
House, High Street, Auckland, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, the 23rd
day of October 1952, for the purpose of receiving the liquidator's
account showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the
property of the company disposed of.

MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE
OPTION IN THE MATTER OF THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES INTEREST
REDUCTION AND LOANS CONVERSION ACT 1932–33 AND THE
MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH LOANS CONVERSION ORDER 1934
(No. 1.)
IN pursuance of section 16 of the Mount Eden Borough Loans
Conversion Order 1934 (No. 1.) and the terms under which
securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the Mount
Eden Borough Council, at a meeting held on the 25th day of August
1952, resolved to exercise the option contained in the securities in
respect of all debentures maturing on the 1st day of April 1958 of
the Mount Eden Borough Conversion Loan 1934 (No. 1.) ; and public
notice is accordingly hereby given of the Mount Eden Borough
Council's intention to redeem such debentures of the said loan on
the 1st day of April 1953, and interest thereon will cease on the said
day, viz.—Debentures Nos. 3222–3401 inclusive maturing on 1
April 1958.

EYRE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf
by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Eyre County
Council hereby resolves as follows:
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by Eyre County
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of staff
houses, the said Eyre County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one hundred and forty-six one-thousandths (146/1000)
pence in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable
property in the whole of the County of Eyre; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHANGE OF SURNAME

I, WILLIAM JOHN SKILTON SKILTON, heretofore called and
known by the name of WILLIAM JOHN SKILTON HUNN, of
Wellington, Public Servant, hereby give public notice that on the
18th day of September 1952, I formally and absolutely renounced
and relinquished and abandoned the use of my said surname of HUNN
and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all
occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of WILLIAM
JOHN SKILTON SKILTON instead of the said name of WILLIAM JOHN
SKILTON HUNN; and I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated
18th day of September 1952, duly executed and attested and enrolled
in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington on
the 23rd day of September 1952, I formally and absolutely renounced
and abandoned the said surname of HUNN and declared that I had
assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions
whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of SKILTON instead of HUNN
and so as to be at all times thereafter called known and described by
the name of SKILTON exclusively.
