The Land and Income Tax Act 1923 (Payment of Land-tax)


IN accordance with Order in Council dated 9 July 1952, I hereby notify that land-tax leviable under the above Act, is payable at any office of the Land and Income Tax Department or at any money-order post-office in one sum on Tuesday, 23 September 1952. The liability is not suspended by any objection, and the tax must be paid on or before Thursday, 23 October 1952, to avoid the additional percentage; any overpayment will be refunded.

Payment may be made at any time after receipt of the combined assessment and demand notice, which must be presented with the payment.

Pharmacy Industry

W. Peddie, care of Mrs. F. Moore, 8 Jeypore Street, Berhampore, Wellington, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Charlotte Street, Takapau.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

R. C. Sanders and G. A. J. Lawrie, corner Gay and Orient Streets, Cromwell, have applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on garage premises at the corner of Gay and Orient Streets, Cromwell.

Chequer Garage, Ltd., Napier, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on new garage premises being erected in Hastings Street, Napier.

Te Mahia Guest House, Ltd., Kenepuru Sounds, has applied for a licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on the Wharf at Te Mahia, Kenepuru Sounds.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than 18th September 1952, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
