ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of September 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Milk Act 1944, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Hutt Valley and Bays Metropolitan Milk District Constitution Order 1952.
(2) This order shall come into force on the fourth day after the date of its publication in the Gazette. -
Those parts of New Zealand consisting of the City of Lower Hutt, the Boroughs of Petone, Eastbourne, and Upper Hutt, the Hutt County, the Town District of Tawa Flat, the Porirua Riding of the Makara County, and that portion of the Makara Riding of the Makara County described in the Schedule hereto are hereby constituted and declared a milk district under the Milk Act 1944, with the name of the “Hutt Valley and Bays Metropolitan Milk District”.
SCHEDULE
PORTION OF MAKARA RIDING OF MAKARA COUNTY INCLUDED IN MILK DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, being that portion of the Makara Riding of the County of Makara bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of Porirua Harbour, in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 99, Porirua District, being a point on the boundary of the County of Hutt; thence proceeding south-easterly and southerly generally along that county boundary and along the western boundary of the Borough of Petone to the mean high-water mark of Port Nicholson; thence south-westerly along the said mean high-water mark to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of the City of Wellington; thence north-westerly along that city boundary to the boundary of the Johnsonville Town District; thence north-easterly and westerly generally along the south-eastern and northern boundaries of that town district to the south-western corner of Section 4, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Section 4 to and across Ohariu Valley Road, to and along the western boundaries of Section 1, Block I, Hawtrey Settlement, and Sections 18 and 20, Porirua District, to the southern boundary of the Porirua Riding of the County of Makara; thence easterly and northerly generally along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said Porirua Riding to the boundary of the Tawa Flat Town District; thence easterly, northerly, and westerly along the boundary of that Town District to another portion of the eastern boundary of the said Porirua Riding; thence northerly along the last-mentioned boundary to and along the mean high-water mark of Porirua Harbour to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 99, Porirua District, the point of commencement: as the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.D. 102/1, deposited in the office of the Marketing Department at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

Officers Authorized to take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

Land Reserved in the Canterbury Land District

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act 1948 it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose, which in his opinion is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 167 of the said Act, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, the land in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for recreation purposes.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
RESERVE 4655, situated in Block VIII, Opihi Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Changing the Purpose of Part of a Reserve in Town of Queenstown, Otago Land District

WHEREAS by subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and administered for such changed purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve duly set apart for public recreation purposes, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a reserve for a municipal camping-ground:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, I, Sir Humphrey Francis O’Leary, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the said Act, declaring that the said reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed to a reserve for a municipal camping-ground.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area containing 6 acres 2 roods 30·05 perches, more or less, being part Block XXXII, Town of Queenstown, and being the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 46, folio 92 (Otago Registry), excluding that parcel containing 1 acre 1 rood 18·95 perches, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan numbered 7498. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2521c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Member Appointed to Forest Hill Scenic Board

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the 4th day of February 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th day of that month, the control of certain reserves in the Southland Land District, known as the Forest Hill Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Forest Hill Scenic Board, pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908: And whereas it is desirable that the member of the Southland County Council representing the Winton Riding, ex officio, should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of William Matthew Norman, deceased:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 13 of the Scenery Preservation Act 1908, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government hereby appoints the said
Member of the Southland County Council representing the Winton Riding, ex officio,
to be a member of the Forest Hill Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the 4th day of February 1949, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said William Matthew Norman, deceased.
