Notice by the Public Trustee Under the Public Trust Office Act 1908
(Part III) and its Amendments
WHEREAS it has been reported to the Public Trustee that
Robert James Glen, of Wellington, in New Zealand, Boiler-
maker, is the owner of the following property, the gross value of
which is less than £1,000, namely : The proceeds of a twenty-eight-
year endowment policy No. 275629 with the Government Life
Insurance Office which policy matured on the 27th day of October
1951—£28 12s. 2d.
And whereas the said Robert James Glen disappeared on the
6th day of January 1937, and it is not known where he is, or whether
he is alive or dead : and whereas it is provided by Part III of the
Public Trust Office Act 1908 (relating to unclaimed property), as
amended by section 41 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act
1921-22, and by section 2 of the Public Trust Office Amendment
Act 1948, that where the value of unclaimed real or personal
property does not exceed £1,000 the Public Trustee may by notice
in the Gazette declare his intention to take possession of such property
and exercise the powers conferred upon him by section 87 of the
Public Trust Office Act 1908, without application to the Court :
Now, the Public Trustee hereby gives notice that he intends
to take possession of the property above mentioned and all other
property of the said Robert James Glen, and to exercise in respect
thereof the powers conferred upon him in and by the provisions of
the Public Trust Office Act 1908, and its amendments.

The Standards Act 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification
No. D. 4160 : Mica
NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand
standard specification is now being circulated to affected
interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed
for such comment is 25 August 1952.
All persons who may be affected by this specification once it
has been declared a standard specification by the Minister of
Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date
for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New
Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton
Quay (P.O. Box 195), Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to
consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council
or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with
subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941.

The Standards Act 1941—Amendment of Standard Specification
NOTICE is hereby given that on 13 August 1952 the under-
mentioned standard specification was amended by the
Minister of Industries and Commerce by the incorporation of the
amendment shown hereunder :-
Number and Title of Specification : N.Z.S.S. 495 : Profiles of
weatherboards, flooring, and matchlining.
Amendment : No. 1, August 1952.
Price of Copy (Post Free) : 3s.
Applications for copies of the standard specifications so amended
should be made to the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton
Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington C. 1 (P.O. Box 195).
Copies of the amendment will be supplied free of charge to all
purchasers of the standard specification.
