Revoking Portion of a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated
Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality
for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949

Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes that portion of the
Warrant dated the 30th day of November 1951,* which refers
to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby
declares the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely popu-
lated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that
a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be
subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed
by the said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitemata County-

All that area at Titirangi consisting of that portion of the
New Lynn-Huia, via Brooklyn, Main Highway No. 808
commencing at a point 32 chains measured along the said
highway in a south-westerly direction from its junction
with the Waitakere Scenic Drive State Highway No. 38,
proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction, and
terminating at the junction of the said main highway with
Godley Road.

Revoking a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality
and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the
Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949

Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the
Minister of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated
the 6th day of March 1939,* which refers to an area including that
described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby declares the area
described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality
for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person
driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject
to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the
said section.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Wanganui County-

All that area at Fordell consisting of that portion of the
Wanganui-Kaungaroa Main Highway No. 855 commencing
at its junction with Warren gate Road and terminating at
a point 56 chains measured along the said main highway
in an easterly direction from the commencing point.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Heavy Motor Vehicles Being Goods
Service Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936

Pursuant to clause 22, regulation 7, of the Traffic Regulations
1936, the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the
purposes of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and
type described in the Schedule hereto and sample of which is
deposited at the Head Office of the Transport Department,
Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister
of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions
of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they
relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the
person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following
provision shall apply :β€”

A motor-driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940, to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule
hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the
course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2
of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under
the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other
purpose.
