NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill intituled "An Act to Constitute and Incorporate the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to Dissolve Certain Boards in Order that their Functions May be Taken Over and their Property Vested in The Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to Provide for Trusts and Incidental Matters."
NOTICE is hereby given that Laurie Henry Wilson, of Christchurch, Diocesan Registrar, Treasurer, and Secretary, intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled, and during this present session thereof, for leave to introduce the above-mentioned Bill, the objects of which said Bill are to constitute and incorporate the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch and to dissolve certain boards—namely, St. Saviour's Guild (commonly called St. Saviour's Guild Society or Trust Board), St. Anne's Guild Society, and Anglican Society of the Friends of the Aged Trust Board—in order that their functions may be taken over and their property vested in the Social Service Council of the Diocese of Christchurch, and to provide for trusts and incidental matters.
The promoter of the Bill is the said Laurie Henry Wilson and the address to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may be inspected is at the office of Elmo Connal Champion, Solicitor for the said Laurie Henry Wilson, 83 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
CONSENTING TO THE LEVYING OF A SPECIAL RATE
THAT the Otaki Borough Council borrow in New Zealand the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds (£2,500) by a loan to be known as Municipal Theatre Renewal Loan 1952, for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding liability in respect of the Municipal Theatre Loan 1937, £7,000, subject to the following conditions:
- Term of loan to be ten (10) years.
- Rate of interest not to exceed three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
- The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments extending over a term of ten (10) years.
- That for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges the Council levies a special rate of one penny in the pound during the currency of the loan, or until it is fully paid off.
- That twenty (20) debentures of £147. 8s. 4d. each be issued in respect of the loan in the form submitted at this meeting, and the Mayor and the Town Clerk be and they are hereby authorized to sign and countersign respectively such debentures.
- That copies of this resolution and all other orders, resolutions, and documents relating to the loan, certified by the Mayor and the Town Clerk as correct extracts from the minutes of proceedings of the said Council, may from time to time be sealed with the Common Seal of the Council as evidence of the same and issued.

HOME MADE Dainties, LIMITED
IN LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of Home Made Dainties, Limited (in liquidation) will be held, pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, at 154 Queen Street, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 26th day of August 1952, at 3 p.m., to lay before the members an account of the winding-up and how the assets have been disposed of, also giving any explanation desired in connection therewith.

L. P. CHRISTIE AND COMPANY, LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of L. P. CHRISTIE AND COMPANY, LIMITED.
An extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Monday, the 28th day of July 1952, the following resolution was duly passed:-
"That this company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up the affairs of the company and that a liquidator be appointed, such liquidator to be appointed by the creditors; and it was likewise resolved that Mr. Basil Taylor be appointed liquidator subject to the approval of the creditors."
At a meeting of the creditors of the above-named company held on the 28th day of July 1952, James Basil Taylor, Public Accountant, 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, was appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

L. P. CHRISTIE AND COMPANY, LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of L. P. CHRISTIE AND COMPANY, LIMITED, (in voluntary liquidation).
THE creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 31st day of August 1952 to send their names, addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims to the undersigned, the liquidator of the said company or, if required by notice in writing from the liquidator, to come in and prove such debts or claims or, in default thereof, they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY
NOTICE is hereby given that WALKERS PRODUCTS, LIMITED (H.B. 1950/36), has changed its name to ICE CREAM SPECIALTIES, LIMITED, and that the new name has been entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.
