The Standards Act 1941—Amendment of Standard Specification
NOTICE is hereby given that on 23 July 1952 the under-mentioned standard specification was amended by the Minister of Industries and Commerce by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:—
Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 1035: Alternating-current relays for railway signalling track relays (double-element, 2-position) line relays (single-element, 2-position); being B.S. 1745: 1951.
Amendment: No. 1 (P.D. 1317) December 1951.
Price of Copy (Post Free): 2s.
Applications for copies of the standard specification so amended should be made to the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington C.1 (P.O. Box 195). Copies of the amendment will be supplied free of charge to all purchasers of the standard specification.

Board of Trade Notice No. 34—Review of Import Licensing
Board of Trade,
4 August 1952.
IT is hereby notified that the Board of Trade has examined the objections lodged to the proposed exemption from import licensing of the following items in the Import Licensing Schedule and has decided not to recommend decontrol until after a review of the appropriate Tariff duties has taken place:—

| Ex 183 (2) (a) | Knitted woollen piece goods. |
| Ex 196 (1) | Shoes n.e.i. composed of canvas with rubber soles solutioned to the uppers. |
| Ex 196 (1) | Boots n.e.i. composed of canvas with rubber soles solutioned to the uppers; goloshes and overshoes. |
| 197 | Gumboots, half-knee, knee, or thigh, with soles either of leather or of rubber, and measuring not less than 9½ inches from the lowest point reached by the line of the top of the upper to a horizontal surface on which the boot is placed. |
| 198 (8) | Grindery viz: Wooden heels, plain, or covered with leather, textile, or celluloid and with or without tops of leather or metal and leather (leather tops not to exceed ½ inch in thickness). |
| 205 (4) | Rubber tiring suited for use on perambulator wheels. |
| 205 (6) (b) | Solid rubber tires, including any material in combination therewith and rubber tiring, n.e.i. |

It is further notified that tariff review hearings in respect of the above items will probably not take place before 1 April 1953.
