and levies a special rate of one hundred and eighty-eight ten-
thousandths of a penny (·0188d.) in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the County of Waipawa ; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall
be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every
year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipawa County Council on
Monday, 14 July 1952.

THE POVERTY BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments
thereto, the Poverty Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as
follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds
(£150,000), authorized to be raised by the Poverty Bay Electric-
power Board under the above-mentioned Act, and amendments
thereto, for the purpose of extending, adding to, and improving
the reticulation in the constituent districts of the Cook County
(including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County
(including the Te Karaka Town District), and the Gisborne Borough,
and for purchasing equipment, plant, tools, instruments, office
equipment and machinery, motor-vehicles, land, and construction
of buildings, the Poverty Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny (⅙d.) in the pound
on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable
property in that portion of the Poverty Bay Electric-power district
as is contained in the constituent districts of the Cook County
(including the Patutahi Town District), the Waikohu County
(including the Te Karaka Town District), and the Gisborne Borough ;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is duly
paid up.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waimahaka
Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimahaka
Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for housing purposes
in respect of the said Waimahaka Rabbit Board No. 1 Housing
Loan, 1951, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1⅜d. upon
each acre of all rateable property of the Waimahaka Rabbit Board
District comprising the whole of the said district ; and that special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 20th day of March in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

KING-COUNTRY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the King-country
Electric-power Board resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the interest and other
charges on a loan of £15,000, authorized to be raised by the King-
country Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of purchasing land with dwellings thereon and
purchasing land and erecting dwellings thereon, together with
incidental charges, the King-country Electric-power Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in
the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
whole of the King-country Electric-power Board District ; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of
June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PRIVATE BILL


In the matter of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly
relating to Private Bills, and in the matter of a Private Bill
intituled “ An Act to Amend the Homewood Trust Act 1942.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Homewood Trust Board intends
to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand
for the passing of the said Bill. The object of the said Bill is to extend
the powers of the said Board to enable it to pay from time to time
to the Western Bay of Plenty Returned Services Association,
Incorporated, such sum or sums as the Board shall think fit to assist
in the establishment and maintenance of a community centre for
the benefit of such persons as the rules of the said Association may
for the time being prescribe and to assist in the establishment and
maintenance of homes for indigent ex-servicemen and their wives
and families. Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited at the
offices of Sharp, Tudhope, and Co., 21 Spring Street, Tauranga,
Solicitors to the Homewood Trust Board, after three weeks from the
date of first publication of this notice, and communications or notices
to the promotor may be sent to the same address.
