Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Town Survey District, Otago Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for a site for a fire-station over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
Section 101, Block VI, Town Survey District: Area, 2 roods 27 perches, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act 1950. (S.O. plan 11403.)

HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to subsection (1) (b) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the reservation for gravel purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto;
and hereby declares that the said land, being vested in the Crown,

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Pohangina County Council

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of July 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve for gravel purposes, and is vested, in trust, in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Pohangina:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Pohangina County Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (1) of section 10 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Pohangina of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Determining Powers of a Commissioner of the Maori Land Court

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the provisions of section 7 of the Maori Land Act 1931, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby determine that Bartholomew Sheehan, Esquire, a Commissioner of the Maori Land Court duly appointed under the said Act, shall possess and may exercise all the powers and functions of a Judge of the Maori Land Court save and except the following,
that is to say:-

  1. The powers and functions of a Judge under Part II of the said Act (relating to the Maori Appellate Court).
  2. The powers and functions of a Judge under Part IV of the said Act (relating to customary land).
  3. The powers and functions of a Judge under Part V of the said Act (relating to the ascertainment of equitable owners).
  4. The powers and functions of a Judge under paragraphs (a) and (b) of subsection (1) of section 27, section 34, section 181, and section 564 of the said Act.

Setting Apart Maori Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of July 1952
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart and reserves the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the common use of the members of the Ngati-Kahungunu Tribe as a meeting-place, recreation-ground, sports-ground, and building-site.

SCHEDULE
All that land in the Ikaroa Maori Land Court District, situate in Block VI of the Heretaunga Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 31:6 perches, more or less, being parts of the blocks known as Moteo B 2E, Moteo B 2F and B 2G 2: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 21/3/253, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Subject to a right-of-way 30:3 links wide appurtenant to Moteo B 2@ 2 Block and to that portion of Moteo B 2F Block lying to the south of the land hereby set apart and reserved: As the said right-of-way is more particularly delineated on the said plan, and thereon coloured yellow.
