IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolutions were passed by the above-named company on the 18th day of January 1952:—

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,700, authorized to be raised by the Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the redemption of the Stratford Borough Council Public Baths Loan 1936, of £3,500, and the Stratford Borough Council Electrical Works Extension Loan, 1936, of £5,000, the Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Stratford comprising the whole of the Borough of Stratford, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR WATER-RACE

NOTICE is hereby given that I will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Alexandra at 10 a.m. on Wednesday the 5th day of March 1952 for a licence for a water-race commencing in Poolburn Creek about 150 yards below Poolburn Bridge and proceeding through my own lands for approximately 50 chains for the purpose of diverting one head of water for irrigation, stock, and domestic purposes.

Objections must be filed in the office of the Mining Registrar, Cromwell, and notified to applicant at least three days before the time of hearing.

HAWKE’S BAY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Board held on the 22nd day of January 1952 the following resolution was passed:—

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£150,000) authorized to be raised by the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in that part of the Hawke’s Bay Electric-power District comprised in the constituent districts of the County of Hawke’s Bay, the Town District of Taradale, the Borough of Hastings, the Town District of Havelock North, and in that portion of the City of Napier which on the 6th day of July 1925 was included in the County of Hawke’s Bay, the said Hawke’s Bay Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth (¹⁄₁₀) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the Borough of Hastings, the County of Hawke’s Bay, and the Town Districts of Havelock North and Taradale and within that portion of the City of Napier which on the 6th day of July 1925 was included in the County of Hawke’s Bay; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Outfall Loan 1951 of £9,800

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges on the loan of nine thousand eight hundred pounds (£9,800) authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing sewerage works and works for the disposal of sewage, comprising the extension of the existing sewage outfall of the Tauranga Borough drainage system to a new point of discharge, and works incidental to this extension, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-five sixty-fourths of a penny (²⁵⁄₆₄d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special drainage rating area in the Borough of Tauranga and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
