SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the company shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable eight pounds (£8).
  3. The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of January 1952.

Revoking Establishment of Taranaki-Wanganui Land Valuation Committee and Palmerston North Land Valuation Committee and Establishing Taranaki Land Valuation Committee and Wanganui Land Valuation Committee

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 14th day of January 1952

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Land Valuation Court Act 1948, and in exercise of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf His Excellency the Governor-General, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby revoke the establishment of the two Land Valuation Committees to which have been given the distinctive names of the Taranaki-Wanganui Land Valuation Committee and the Palmerston North Land Valuation Committee respectively as the same were, together with other Land Valuation Committees, established and named by an Order in Council dated the 26th day of April 1950, and published in the Gazette of the 27th day of the same month, at page 494, and doth hereby establish two Land Valuation Committees and determine that their respective names shall be the Taranaki Land Valuation Committee and the Wanganui Land Valuation Committee.

Exempting Leases in the Southland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that the leases described in the Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE

Lot 7, Block III, Township of Ohai Extension No. 7: Area, 1 rood. Lease No. 10052.

Lot 18, Block III, Township of Ohai Extension No. 7: Area, 1 rood 10·4 perches. Lease No. 10054.

Being part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 137, folio 81 (Southland Registry).

Exempting Land in the Auckland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

In pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection (2) of section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be exempt from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925, and hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land containing one (1) rood nine decimal two (9·2) perches, more or less, being Lot 46 on Deposited Plan 17389, Town of Rotowaro, and being portion of Allotment 79 of the Parish of Pepepe and part of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 810, folio 6 (Auckland Registry), excepting thereout all veins, seams, and beds of coal, fireclay, and all minerals whatsoever in upon or under the said land subject to (a) section 248 of the Maori Land Act 1931 and to (b) Deed No. 173870 (R 112/262) confirmed by Deed No. 178252 (R 120/516) creating easements relating to mining on above land in favour of William Joseph Ralph the younger. Probate No. 236847 (R 243/21) of the will of William Joseph Ralph the younger granted to William Joseph Ralph.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that James Colin Dow, being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of District Rehabilitation Officer, Rehabilitation Department at Wellington, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927.

Captain Leo Patrick Bourke, O.B.E., D.S.C. and Bar, R.D., appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, for passage, to date 22 November 1951 and H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, as Head of the New Zealand Joint Services Liaison Staff, Melbourne, and Royal New Zealand Naval Liaison Officer in Australia (date to be reported).

Lieutenant-Commander (L) Lloyd Milton Hadley, R.N., appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, for passage, to date 31 December 1951 and for two years’ exchange service with Lieutenant-Commander (L) L. B. Carey (date to be reported) (accounts to be borne in H.M.S. Terror).

Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander (D) Thomas Hugh Hamilton Murray, B.D.S., granted a permanent commission in the Royal New Zealand Navy, to date 10 January 1952.

Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander John William Doupe, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Philomel, additional, for dispersal, to date 12 November 1951. Short-service commission terminated, to date 26 December 1951.

Lieutenant Phillip Leslie Bardwell, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, to date 1 November 1951 and reappointed.

Sub-Lieutenant Jeremy Peter Dryden Hall, promoted to the rank of Acting Lieutenant, to date 16 August 1951.

Dr. J. G. Abercrombie, M.B., Ch.B., granted a short-service commission in the Royal New Zealand Navy in the rank of Probationary Surgeon Lieutenant with seniority of 18 October 1949 and appointed H.M.N.Z.S. Maori, additional, to date 18 October 1951.

Sub-Lieutenant (S) Christopher Richard Vennell promoted to the rank of Lieutenant (S), to date 1 November 1951 and reappointed.

Temporary Senior Commissioned Engineer Hiram William Harris, M.B.E., engagement extended for a period of two years, to date 7 May 1952 and reappointed.
