the said sum by the establishment of a sinking fund in respect thereof, as specified in clause (3) of the said Order in Council, the said sum shall be repaid by the half-yearly redemption of debentures on the dates set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto of the amounts stated opposite each such date in the second column of the said Schedule: Provided that the said local authority shall, in respect of the redemption of the debenture for twelve hundred pounds (£1,200) maturing on the 1st day of April 1957, and before raising the said sum or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, or under such other statutory enactment as may be applicable, and shall thereafter make payments to such sinking fund at intervals or not more than one year at a rate or rates per centum which shall be not less than eighteen pounds sixteen shillings and eightpence (£18 16s. 8d.), the first such payment to be made not later than one year after the first day from which interest to the lender or lenders is computed on the said debenture.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Streets in the Borough of Takapuna, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-lines

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Takapuna Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed streets described in the Schedule hereto of widths for part of their lengths of less than 66 feet but not less than 50 feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 48 feet from the centre-lines of the said streets.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Takapuna, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 28 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 6, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna.

Also that proposed street in the said land district and borough, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 13·5 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 6, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna.

Also that proposed street in the said land district and borough, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 30 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 6, Section 1, Parish of Takapuna.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133004, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Papatoetoe Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 136253, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

That proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Papatoetoe, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 29 perches, more or less, being part Lot 86, D.P. 15218, and part Lot 4, D.P. 36136, being parts Allotment 42, Parish of Manurewa.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Karekare House, Limited, of the rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 13th day of February 1933 and published in the Gazette on the 16th day of the same month, at page 281, authorizing Maria Mary Farley, Zoe Kathleen Badham, and Edward Dudley Cust Badham, all of Karekare, Boardinghouse Proprietors, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, and to erect and use certain electric lines.
