Claims Under Article 15 (a) of the Japanese Peace Treaty
UNDER Article 15 (a) of the Treaty of Peace with Japan which came into force on 28 April 1952, Japan will return to nationals of the Allied Powers tangible and intangible property which was within Japan at any time between 7 December 1941 and 2 September 1945, and which has not already been restored. The Treaty also requires Japan to pay compensation in cases where such property was in Japan on 7 December 1941, and cannot be returned, or has been damaged as a result of the war.
Forms of application for restitution of identifiable property are available from the Public Trustee as Custodian of Enemy Property, P.O. Box 5024, Lambton Quay, Wellington, to whom completed application forms should be forwarded. Claims for restitution must be submitted to the Japanese Government through the New Zealand Government not later than 28 January 1953.
Claims for compensation for property destroyed, lost, or damaged in Japan are to be directed through the New Zealand Government not later than 28 October 1953. Application forms, together with detailed information on the procedures to be followed in preparing and submitting these claims, can be obtained from the Custodian of Enemy Property.

Sale of Unclaimed Property

IT is hereby notified that unclaimed property in the hands of the Police at Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Gisborne, Napier, New Plymouth, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Wellington, Greymouth, Christchurch, Timaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill stations will, if not claimed before Saturday, 26 July 1952, be sold thereafter by public auction.
Particulars as to the time and place of sale may be obtained from the Superintendent or Inspector of Police in charge of the district.

NOTICE is hereby given that on and after Monday, 4 August 1952, a Stamp Duties Office will be established at Wanganui in Trafalgar Buildings, Ridgway Street.
The area to be served by this office is that covered by the Supreme Court District of Wanganui and the Counties of Patea, Rangitikei, Waimarino, Waitotara, and Wanganui and includes the towns of Wanganui, Patea, Waverley, Marton, Bulls, Hunterville, Mangaweka, Taihape, Ohakune, and Raetihi.

Notice to Persons Affected by Application for Licence Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act 1936
Pharmacy Industry
W. H. Bongard, Pollen Street, Thames, has applied for a licence to operate a new pharmacy at Cameron Road, Greerton, Tauranga.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 31 July 1952, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender. Election of Producers’ Representatives on the Hop Marketing Committee
PURSUANT to the Hop Marketing Regulations 1939, made under the Marketing Act 1936 and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act 1934, notice is hereby given that a copy of the roll of producers qualified to vote at the election of producers’ representatives to the Hop Marketing Committee established by the said regulations, has been deposited for public inspection during ordinary office hours, for a period of seven days from the 16th day of July 1952, at the undermentioned offices of the Marketing Department:—
