Road Traversing Maori Land Proclaimed as a Public Road in Blocks XI and XV, Arowhana Survey District, and Block III, Mangatu Survey
District, Gisborne Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Maori land and has been used by the public as a public road and has
been formed, improved, or maintained out of the funds of the local authority.
And whereas the Maori Land Court, by an order made on the 24th day of October 1951 and issued pursuant to section 484 of the
Maori Land Act 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road,
and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section 486 of the Maori Land Act 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 487 of the Maori Land Act 1931, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

7/625/B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under Nos. 3091 and 3092, and thereon coloured as
above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 8th day of July 1952.

Altering the Boundaries of the Wairere Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, I, Bernard
Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby alter the boundaries of the Wairere Electric-power District
so as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto,
the said area being hitherto part of the Outer Area of the Taranaki
Electric-power District.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, being portion of the
generally westerly along the northern side of the Rerekapa Road,
County of Clifton bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
generally northerly along the eastern side of the Makarakia Road
shores of the Tasman Sea at the mouth of the Mokau River on the
and generally westerly along the northern side of Tooi Road, Pari
boundary between the Counties of Clifton and Waitomo; thence
Road, and Mangatuna Road to and across the Mokau Road to the
proceeding generally easterly along the boundary between the
south-eastern corner of Section 20, Block VIII, Mimi Survey Dis-
aforementioned Counties as described in New Zealand Gazette No.
trict; thence northerly, easterly, and again northerly and westerly
37 of 25 May 1939, at page 1536, to the western boundary of the
along the boundary of the aforementioned Section 20 and westerly
County of Ohura; thence generally southerly along the boundary
along the northern boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Mimi Survey
between the Counties of Clifton and Ohura and generally westerly
District, to the boundary between Blocks VII and VIII, Mimi Survey
along the boundary between the Counties of Clifton and Whanga-
District; thence generally northerly along the said Block boundary
momona as described in the aforesaid Gazette to the south-eastern
and westerly along the boundary between Blocks III and VII,
corner of Section 4, Block XIII, Waro Survey District; thence
Mimi Survey District, to the Tasman Sea and generally northerly
along the shores of the Tasman Sea to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
S.H.D. 201, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the
State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 8th day
of July 1952.
