SAILORS' GULLY (WAITAHUNA) GOLD-MINING COMPANY, LIMITED

NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter of the SAILORS' GULLY (WAITAHUNA) GOLD-MINING COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 241 of the Companies Act 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the registered office of the company, being the office of Robert C. Moore, Solicitor, Ross Place, Lawrence, on Friday the 4th day of July 1952, at 11.30 o'clock a.m., for the purpose of having an account of the winding-up of the company laid before them showing how the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books and papers of the company and of the liquidator shall be disposed of.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD PURPOSES

NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended to take the lands hereunder mentioned under the Public Works Act 1908 for road purposes. A plan showing the lands affected and the owners thereof is open for inspection at the office of the Pohangina County Council at Pohangina. All persons affected by the proposed works or by the taking of the lands are hereby called on to set forth in writing all well-founded objections to the execution of the works or to the taking of the lands, and to send such written objections to the Pohangina County Council within forty days from the 6th day of June 1952.

The lands affected are an area of 3 acres 16·67 perches, being parts of Sections 11 and 12, Block V, Pohangina Survey District, being the land more particularly shown outlined yellow on Survey Office Plan No. 22427.

SLUGGIS H RIVER DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

1952 Tractor Loan

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Sluggish River Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,575, authorized to be raised by the Sluggish River Drainage Board under the abovementioned Act, for the purchase of a tractor, the said Sluggish River Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate over the whole of the rateable area in the Board's District as follows : all lands in Class I, 0·317 of a penny ; Class II, 0·238 of a penny ; Class III, 0·158 of a penny ; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 23rd day of July in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that by memorandum signed for the purpose of becoming an entry in the minute-book of the company as provided by subsections (1) and (3) of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933 and section 11 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1939 the following special resolution was duly passed:

"1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
"2. That JOHN LEES FAULKNER and DONALD ERIC FAIRHALL, both of Otahuhu, Company Directors, be and they are hereby appointed liquidators of the company."

THE WAITAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 to be known as the Housing Loan 1952, authorized to be raised by the Waitaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of acquiring land, erecting dwellings, and purchasing land with dwellings thereon in pursuance of the powers conferred on the Board by subsection (1) of section 122 of the Electric-power Boards Act 1925, the said Waitaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·0186 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property of the said Board's electric-power district comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru Borough, Hampden Borough, and part Waitaki County and part Waimate County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the said special rate be and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as security for the repayment of the said loan and for the payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan."

The Waitaki Electric-power Board at its meeting on 26 May 1952, passed the above resolution.
