The Rabbit Skins Levy Fixation Order 1952 (Notice No. Ag. 5247)
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment
Act 1947, and having regard to the recommendations of the
Rabbit Destruction Council, the Minister of Agriculture hereby
makes the following Order.
ORDER
-
This Order may be cited as the Rabbit Skins Levy Fixation
Order 1952. -
For the purposes of this Order “the said regulations”
means the Rabbit Skins Levy Regulations 1948. -
The rate of the levy to be charged for the purposes of the
Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act 1947, in accordance with that
Act and the said regulations, on rabbit skins of whatever class
produced and sold in New Zealand shall be 200 per centum of the
price paid or payable by the purchaser of the skins in respect of
every sale made or effected during the period commencing on the
1st day of June 1952, and ending on the 31st day of May 1953, both
days inclusive, by a broker by auction or by a rural vendor directly
to a wholesale trader as respectively defined in the said regulations.

N.B.—The rate of the levy fixed by the above Order is the
equivalent of a rate of 66⅔ per centum on the full market value.
The Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950—Notice Declaring Land Taken
for the Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 5 of the Servicemen’s Settlement-
ment Act 1950, notice was given of the intention of the
Minister of Lands to take, under Part I of the said Act, the lands
described in the Schedule hereto, and a copy of the said notice was
published in the N.Z. Gazette No. 18 on the 28th day of February
1952, at page 315:
And whereas no objection was made by the owner of the said
lands in the manner prescribed by the said Act objecting to the
taking of the said lands:
And whereas the said land is not the land of any serviceman who
is for the time being serving outside New Zealand in any of Her
Majesty’s Forces or in any British ship.
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 8 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the lands described
in the said Schedule are taken for the settlement of discharged
servicemen, and hereby specifies the 1st day of April 1952 as the
date on which the said lands shall be deemed to be vested in Her
Majesty the Queen.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
All that parcel of land situated in Block VII, Cambridge Survey
District, containing by admeasurement one (1) rood thirty-eight
decimal nine (38·9) perches, more or less, being part of the Hinuera
No. 2 Block and being part of the land described in Deeds Index
Volume 1F, folio 694 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block VII, Cambridge
Survey District, containing by admeasurement one (1) rood
twenty-five (25) perches, more or less, being part of Hinuera No. 2
Block, and being part of the land described in Deeds Index
Volume 1F, folio 694 (Auckland Registry).
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
numbered S.O. 35104, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor,
Lands and Survey Department at Auckland, and thereon edged red.

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950—Notice Declaring Land Taken
for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the
Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the
land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the
Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950, applies :
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a
discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor :
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said
application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had
decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said
land, did on the 19th day of March 1952 adjourn the said application :
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of
section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is
taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby
specifies the 1st day of May 1952 as the date on which the said land
shall be deemed to be vested in Her Majesty the Queen.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block IX, Mamarua Survey
District, containing by admeasurement three hundred and fourteen
(314) acres and thirty-five decimal six (35·6) perches, more or less,
being part of Opuatia 7B 1 Block, part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan
4034, being part of Allotment 64, Onewhero Parish, and Lot 1 on
Deposited Plan 22366, being part of Opuatia 7B 2A Block, and being
all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 652, folio 210
(Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block IX, Mamarua
Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and
sixty-five (165) acres, more or less, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan
16635, being part of Opuatia 7B 1 Block, and being all of the land
described in certificate of title, Volume 499, folio 290 (Auckland
Registry).
Also all that parcel of land situated in Block IX, Mamarua
Survey District, containing by admeasurement thirty-six (36) acres
and one (1) perch, more or less, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 16635,

The Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950—Revocation of Notice Declaring
Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13, subsection (2), of
the Servicemen’s Settlement Act 1950, the Minister of Lands
doith hereby revoke the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 16 on the 21st day of February 1952, at page 274, declaring
that the land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL those parcels of land situated in Blocks IX and X, Wharekawa
Survey District, together containing approximately two hundred
and thirteen (213) acres, being part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 6613,
being part of Waitakaruru 2B Block, and being that part of the land
described in certificate of title, Volume 172, folio 27 (Auckland
Registry), lying to the north-east of the road described in notice
registered under Proclamation 3876.
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement four
(4) acres and thirty-five decimal three (35·3) perches, more or less,
being Section 5, Block IX, Wharekawa Survey District, and being
all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 320, folio 34
(Auckland Registry).
