Crown Land Set Apart for Health Purposes (District Nurse’s Cottage)
in Block XVI, Muriwhenua Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for health purposes (district nurse's cottage); and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 19th day of May 1952.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of Road in Block LIX, Hokonui Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I,
Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of
New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land which is described in the Schedule hereto (and which was reserved for the Winton-Kingston railway and is not now required for that purpose) shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Main Highways Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 23rd day of December 1936, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 8th day of January 1937, at page 7, authorizing Lance Lester William Heaphy, of Berlins, Hotelkeeper, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity, and to erect certain electric lines.

Declaring Portions of the Whitaunui Farm Settlement Roads (Okuku-Poplar and Whitaunui Roads) in the Horowhenua County to be County Road

May 1952

Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Horowhenua County, known as Okuku-Poplar Road, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of Sections 11 and 12, Block VII, Mount Robinson Survey District, proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 8406 links, more or less, adjoining Sections 1, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, Block VII, Mount Robinson Survey District (Whitaunui Farm Settlement).
Also all that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Horowhenua County, known as Whitaunui Road, commencing at its junction with the above-described Okuku-Poplar Road, proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 7543 links, more or less, adjoining Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block VII, Mount Robinson Survey District (Whitaunui Farm Settlement).
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 136998, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £3,000 by the Waipawa County Council and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 9th day of November 1949 (hereinafter called the said Order in Council), and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising by the Waipawa County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) of a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000) to be known as “Workers’ Dwellings Loan No. 2 1949”:
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not been exercised:
And whereas the authority has lapsed in accordance with the provisions of clause 6 of the said Order in Council and it is not now lawful or competent for the said local authority to raise the said loan or any portion thereof except in accordance with the provisions of a further Order in Council that may be issued pursuant to section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 (hereinafter called the said Act):
And whereas the said local authority is now desirous of raising the said loan and it is expedient to authorize the said local authority to raise the said loan on the conditions hereinafter set out:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 11 of the said Act as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act 1932 (No. 2), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the raising in New Zealand by the said local authority of the said loan up to the amount of three thousand pounds (£3,000) for the purpose for which the said loan was authorized, and in giving such consent hereby determines as follows:-
- The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed twenty (20) years.
- The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.
- The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in 1 above.
- The payment of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan-moneys.
- The rate payable for brokerage, underwriting, and procurement fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised.
- No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
