HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints

Stanley Hume Deans,
Frederick William Gray,
Stanley Frederick Harbrow,
Lucy Ann Harwood,
Cecil William Moore,
Sydney Ian Morton,
August George Pistor,
James Thomson Scott, and
David Watson

to be the Harwood Park Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and hereby appoints Saturday, the 3rd day of May 1952, at 7.30 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the residence of Mr. F. Gray, Carnoch Road, Harwood Township, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 33·24 perches, more or less, being Lot 20 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 5318, being part Section 9, Block I, Portobello Survey District.

Recreation Reserve in Otago Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the Otago Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waikoikoi Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres and 22·5 perches, more or less, being Lot 2 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 7349, being part Section 43, Block X, Glenkenich Survey District. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Hastings Under the Public Works Act, 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE

ALL that parcel of land containing 1 rood 9·92 perches, more or less, situate in the Borough of Hastings, being part Lots 39 and 40, D.P. 1037, part Heretaunga Block, being also the whole of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 95, folio 85 (Hawke’s Bay Registry), the said land being more particularly shown bordered pink on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier as No. 1126, green.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3740, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Conferring on Paparua County Council Certain Powers of Borough Councils with Respect to Water-supply

PURSUANT to section 182 of the Counties Act 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers on the Paparua County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted borough council under sections 82 to 84, 86 to 88, Part XX (with the exception of sections 251, 253, and 254), and section 346 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, and also section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1938.

Appointing a Temporary Member of the Christchurch Tramway District Appeal Board

WHEREAS Frederick Charles Penfold, Esquire, of Christchurch, has been duly appointed a member of the Appeal Board constituted under section 6 of the Tramways Amendment Act 1910 for the Christchurch Tramway District :

And whereas the said Frederick Charles Penfold will be absent from New Zealand for a short period :

And whereas it is expedient that some suitable person be appointed to fill the vacancy on the said Board during the absence from New Zealand of the said Frederick Charles Penfold :

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Tramway Regulations made on the 2nd day of February 1911 under the authority of section 5 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint James Roland Smith, Esquire, of Christchurch, to be a temporary member of the Christchurch Tramway District Appeal Board during the absence from New Zealand of the said Frederick Charles Penfold.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of April 1952.

Authorizing the Lake County Council to Sell Limestone Upon Portion of an Unnamed Road in Block XIII, Lower Wanaka Survey District, in the County of Lake

FREYBERG, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 140 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby authorize the Lake County Council to sell or contract to sell and remove limestone upon portion of an unnamed road adjoining the south-western boundary of Section 11 and the north-eastern boundary of Section 14, situated in Block XIII, Lower Wanaka Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 136871, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of April 1952.
