Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land
Amendment Act, 1936 (Ngatiawa Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land
Amendment Act 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby
revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto,
a certain notice dated the 6th day of June 1931, and published
in New Zealand Gazette No. 46 of the 11th day of June 1931, at
page 1735, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23
of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment
Act 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936)
were applied to, inter alia, the said land.
SCHEDULE
THE following land situate in the Whakatane Survey District in
the Waiariki Maori Land Court District :—
Lot 246B 1A 2, Parish of Waimana, containing 17 acres, more
or less, being part of the land formerly known as Lot 246B 1A, Parish
of Waimana containing 18 acres more or less.
Lot 246B 2B 1, Parish of Waimana, containing 18 acres 2 roods
21 perches, more or less, being part of the land formerly known
as Lot 246B 2, Parish of Waimana, containing 240 acres 2 roods
13 perches, more or less.

Declaring Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment
Act 1936. (Bay of Islands Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act
1936 the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares the lands
described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said
Act.

Notice to Mariners No. 7 of 1952

NEW ZEALAND NORTH ISLAND.—WEST COAST
Cape Egmont Light—Changeover to Electrification
Position: Lat., 39° 16′·7 S.; long., 173° 45′·3 E. (approx.).
Details: Preliminary work on the electrification of the above
light has been completed and it is now possible to bring the work
to finality. The changeover will be commenced on 5 February,
and the light with the same characteristics as formerly should be
re-exhibited on or about 7 February. During the changeover
period above a temporary light will be exhibited from the balcony
of the tower and will not alter site, height above M.H.W.S. or the
arcs of visibility. Character of the temporary light will be flashing
every 5 seconds—i.e. flash 0·4 sec. Range 13 miles.

Notice to Persons Affected by Applications for Licences Under Part III
of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936
Pharmacy Industry
Mrs. R. R. Sarah, P.O. Box 4, Pukekohe, has applied for a licence
to operate a new pharmacy at Great South Road, Pokeno.
K. Smith, 20 Dublin Street, Pukekohe, has applied for a licence
to operate a new pharmacy at Great South Road, Pokeno.
H. P. Wade, 96 Cameron Road, Tauranga, has applied for a
licence to operate a new pharmacy at Greerton, Tauranga.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit
A. H. Fulton, South Head, Via Parakai, has applied for a
licence to resell motor-spirit from one pump to be installed on store
premises at South Head, Via Parakai.
W. L. Harris, Tai Tapu, has applied for permission to shift one
pump from its present position to a new site on public road off main
road, Tai Tapu.
Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be
materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on
these applications should, not later than 7 February 1952, submit any
written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
