Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in the Cook County

THE following special order made by the Cook County Council on the 27th day of March 1952 is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Cook County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that Spiderwort (Leycesteria formosa), being a plant included in the First Schedule of the said Act is a noxious weed within the County of Cook.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Heavy Motor-vehicles, being Goods Service Vehicles in Terms of the Traffic Regulations 1936
PURSUANT to clause (22), regulation 7 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve, for the purposes of the said regulation, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto, and sample of which is deposited at the Head Office of the Transport Department, Wellington.

Revoking a Warrant Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities and Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke the Warrant dated the 20th day of December 1951,* which refers to areas described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the areas described in the said Schedule to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein at any time during the period commencing on the 18th day of December of each year and ending on the seventh day following Easter Monday in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Coromandel County—
All that area at Whitianga consisting of the Coromandel-Mercury Bay Main Highway No. 309 commencing at its junction with a road approximately 32 chains measured in a southerly direction from the Whitianga Post Office and terminating at the end of the said main highway at Whitianga, and also the Whitianga-Kuaotunu Road commencing at the end of the aforesaid main highway at Whitianga and terminating at a point 1 mile measured generally in a northerly direction from the Whitianga Post Office.
Situated within Thames County—
All that area at Whangamata consisting of Leander Road and also that portion of Whangamata Port Road commencing at a point 3 chains south-west of its junction with Leander Road and terminating at the river estuary.

Also all that portion of the Maraetai Coast Road commencing at the end of the said main highway and terminating at a point 18 chains measured in an easterly direction along the said road from the end of the said main highway.
