HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:
GENEBALS' LIST
Regular Force-
Major-General K. L. Stewart, C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointments of Chief of the General Staff and First Military Member of the Army Board. Dated 31 March 1952.
Major-General K. L. Stewart, C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointment of G.O.C., N.Z. Division. Dated 31 March 1952.
Brigadier W. G. Gentry, C.B.E., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointments of Adjutant-General, Army Headquarters, and Second Military Member of the Army Board, dated 31 March 1952, is promoted to the rank of Major-General, and is appointed Chief of the General Staff and First Military Member of the Army Board, dated 1 April 1952.
Major-General W. G. Gentry, C.B.E., D.S.O., is appointed G.O.C., N.Z. Division, in addition to his appointments of Chief of the General Staff and First Military Member of the Army Board. Dated 1 April 1952.

Regular Force-
Brigadier G. H. Clifton, D.S.O., M.C., is appointed Commandant, Northern Military District. Dated 22 March 1952.
Brigadier L. W. Andrew, V.C., D.S.O., relinquishes the appointment of Commandant, Central Military District. Dated 23 March 1952.
Colonel D. T. Maxwell, O.B.E., ceases to be attached to "A" Branch, Army Headquarters, dated 23 March 1952, is promoted to the rank of Brigadier, and is appointed Commandant, Central Military District, dated 24 March 1952.
Lieutenant-Colonel (temp. Brigadier) J. R. Page, D.S.O., from the Royal N.Z. Artillery, to be Brigadier, and is appointed Adjutant-General, Army Headquarters, and Second Military Member of the Army Board. Dated 1 April 1952.
