SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area containing by admeasurement approximately 425 acres l rood 6 perches, being Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block I, Waihi South Survey District, and part of Pukeroa No. 2 Block: Bounded towards the north by the Kaikokopu Rive.; towards the east by the river-bank reserve, along the western side of the Wharere Canal; towards the south by the Waerenga Road; and towards the west by the river-bank reserve along the eastern side of the Kaikokopu River. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/1359, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. Amending an Order in Council Vesting a Reserve for Rabbit Board Buildings

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the 21st day of January 1952, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 31st day of that month, Section 131, Block XIV, Apiti Survey District, Wellington Land District, was vested in the Pohangina Rabbit Board, in trust, for a reserve for Rabbit Board buildings, in terms of section 9 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 :
And whereas an error was made in the name of the said Rabbit Board in the said Order in Council, and it is expedient that the error should be rectified:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the said Order in Council dated 21st day of January 1952, by substituting the name Apiti-Pohangina Rabbit Board for the name Pohangina Rabbit Board wherever that name appears therein.

Vesting the Control of a Reserve in the Colyton Public Hall Board

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by subsection (l) of section 35 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act 1925, permanently reserved as a site for a public hall:
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 17 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto for a period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act) in the undermentioned persons, namely,--
James Charles Burr,
Basil Frank Falloon,
Benoni Nimmo Sandilands,
Robert Ivan Shortall, and
William Wishart Shortall
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Colyton Public Hall Board (hereinafter referred to as the Board), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :-

  1. The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Monday, the 7th day of April 1952, at 8 o'clock p.m. at the Colyton Hall, and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such time and place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
  2. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.
  3. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman provided that two days' notice of any such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
  4. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.
  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.
  6. If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.
  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.
  8. The Board shall have prepared and submitted at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the 31st day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each annual meeting.
  9. The Board shall control the said reserve and the building erected thereon for the purposes of a public hall, and shall also afford settlers and residents of Colyton and the surrounding district such facilities for meeting within the said hall as may from time to time be determined by the Board; provided that the Board shall have power to fix reasonable charges for the use of the said hall.

SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in Block XV, Oroua Survey District, containing by admeasurement l rood, more or less, being part Lot 10 as shown on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington under No. 181, being part Subdivision H, Manchester Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 56, folio 129 (Wellington Registry).

Recreation Reserve in Nelson Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Little Wanganui Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SECTION 45, Block II, Kongahu Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 29-1 perches, more or less. Subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948. (S.O. plan 9679.)
