NOTICE is hereby given that the final general meeting of the Otago Steam Laundry and Dyeworks Company, Limited (in liquidation) will be held at the office of Mr. R. J. KNOWLES, Stock Exchange Buildings, Water Street, Dunedin, on Friday, 7 March 1952, at 3 p.m. for the purposes of receiving an account of the manner in which the winding up of the company’s affairs has been conducted and its property disposed of, and of hearing any explanation thereon, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, account, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

HOBSON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1951, £40,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000, authorized to be raised by the Hobson County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Hobson County Council makes and levies a special rate of thirteen-sixteenths pence (1³⁄₁₆d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Hobson ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly submitted to and passed at the ordinary meeting of the Hobson County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Normanby Street, Dargaville, on Tuesday, 12 February 1952.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Bridges Loan 1939, £20,000—Fourth Instalment of £4,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 the Council of the County of Waipawa hereby resolves as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of four thousand pounds (£4,000), being part of a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorized to be raised by the Waipawa County Council for the purpose of erecting certain new bridges, replacing old worn-out bridges, and widening and repairing certain bridges ; also providing the necessary plant and machinery for carrying out the said works, the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nineteen one-hundredths (¹⁹⁄₁₀₀) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Waipawa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
And it is further resolved that the said rate so made and levied as is herein above provided shall be in confirmation of rates for the same amount and for the same or similar purposes made and levied by the said Council on the 11th day of March 1940 and confirmed on the 13th day of December 1944 and the 11th day of August 1947.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waipawa County Council held on Monday, 11 February 1952.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolved as follows :—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £19,100, authorized to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a sewerage system for the Kelston District (special rating area), the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence farthing (4·25d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the special rating area described hereunder, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
