WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL

In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and in the matter of
the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wairarapa South County
Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts and their respective amendments to execute a certain public
work—namely, widening of a public road—and for the purposes
of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto
are required to be taken. The land mentioned in the Second
Schedule hereto being severed land, is also required to be taken
and the land mentioned in the Third Schedule being old road is
intended to be closed. And notice is hereby further given that a
plan of the lands so required to be taken or of old road proposed
to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the
said Council situate at Memorial Square, Carterton, and a further
copy at the offices of its solicitors, Major, Tucker, and Gooding,
High Street, Carterton, and is open for inspection, without fee, by
all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work
or by the taking of such lands or the stopping of portions of old
road who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of
the said public work or to the taking of the said lands or to the
stopping of portions of old road must state their objections in writing
and send the same within forty days from the first publication of
this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Memorial
Square, Carterton.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between Henare Kahu Pitama and Ropata Wahawa Stirling, both of Christchurch, carrying on business as Painters and Paperhangers at Christchurch under the style or firm name of Pitama and Stirling, has been dissolved as from the 31st day of January 1952.

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Fairfield and Enderley Sewer and Water Loan 1951, £85,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty-five thousand pounds (£85,000) authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of providing water and sewer drainage in the Fairfield and Enderley Special Rating District of the City of Hamilton, the Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twelve pence halfpenny (12½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value unimproved of all rateable property in the Fairfield and Enderley Special Rating Area being a part of the Waikato County which was added to the City of Hamilton on 1 April 1949, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted meeting held on the 24th day of January 1952.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF CHRISTIAN NAME

I, MARGARET WILLIAMSON HARPER, wife of Archibald William Wilson Harper, of Gisborne, Mercantile Manager, now lately called MAGGIE WILLIAMSON HARPER, hereby give notice that on the 5th day of February 1952, I formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of my said first christian name of MAGGIE and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the first christian name of MARGARET instead of the first christian name of MAGGIE. And I give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the 5th day of February 1952, duly executed and filed in the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Gisborne on the 6th day of February 1952, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said first christian name of MAGGIE and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the first christian name of MARGARET instead of MAGGIE and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the christian names of MARGARET WILLIAMSON being the said adopted first christian name of MARGARET and my second christian name of WILLIAMSON.
