RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Housing Improvement Act 1945, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and regulations thereunder and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £400,000 to be known as the Freemans Bay Redevelopment (Acquisition of Land) Loan 1951 £400,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing or otherwise acquiring any land or any estate or interest in land situated in the area in the City of Auckland proclaimed to be a reclamation area under Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945, and as set out at page 1977 of the New Zealand Gazette No. 70, dated 16 November 1950, or for the purchase of any land or estate or interest in any land situated adjacent to or near the Freeman’s Bay Reclamation Area and for the carrying out of investigation work and the preparation of plans for the redevelopment of the said reclamation area, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and five-ninths of a penny (1⅚d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 31st day of January 1952.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and regulations thereunder and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Waterworks Reservoirs Loan 1951, £220,000, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council for the purpose of erecting new water reservoirs at Ponsonby and Khyber Pass, new depot buildings comprising workshop, stores, and garage, and the carrying out of miscellaneous additions to water reticulation, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six-sevenths of a penny (⁶⁄₇d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Health Act 1920, the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and amendments, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and regulations made thereunder and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on an amount of one million six hundred and ninety-eight thousand pounds (£1,698,000) to be known as the Cossey’s Creek Development Loan 1951, £1,698,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out certain works in connection with the Cossey’s Creek water-supply scheme, including the construction of intake works and pipe-line for running water, construction of Cossey’s Creek dam and attendant works, the construction of a second pipe-line and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five and four-fifths (5⁴⁄₅d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
