to be a Sanctuary Under the Animals Protection and Game Act
1921–22 (Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization Society)

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Animals Protection and Game
Act 1921–22, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor
General of New Zealand, hereby declare the area described in the
Schedule hereto to be a sanctuary under the above Act.

SCHEDULE
ALL that area of swamp with surrounding pasture and crop land
of approximately 6 acres enclosed in two fenced paddocks situated
at the southern end of Section 32/33, Block 9, Woodville Survey
District, being part of the land belonging to the Oxenham Estate
and adjacent to the homestead.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
this 30th day of November 1951.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Changing the Purpose
of a Reserve in Town of Picton, Marlborough Land District
——
FREYBERG, Governor-General
WHEREAS by subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and administered for such changed purpose :
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is reserve duly set apart for a fish-market for the aboriginal Natives and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a reserve for recreation purposes :
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council, under the provisions of subsection (1) (a) of section 7 of the said Act, declaring that the said reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes.
