Declaring Certain Crown Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act 1939, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Hokianga County containing by admeasurement 2 roods 21 perches, more or less, being Section 41 of Block VIII, Whangape Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 32/1/24, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 7th day of December 1951.

State Forest Land Set Apart as a Forest Sanctuary

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 20 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the State forest land described in the Schedule hereto as a forest sanctuary.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—AUCKLAND FOREST CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hokianga County, containing by admeasurement 15 acres, more or less, situated in Block XVI, Maungataniwha Survey District, being part of Compartment 8, Omahuta State Forest and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at Old Peg VII (F.S.) shown on F.S. plan No. 5/28, thence by lines, bearing 165° 30′ for 302·9 links, 192° 00′ for 490·0 links, 280° 30′ for 1603·0 links, 358° 15′ for 639·0 links, 61° 15′ for 389·0 links, 73° 30′ for 262·0 links, 100° 30′ for 899·0 links, and 152° 30′ for 271·0 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 5/47, deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 23rd day of November 1951.

Land Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the powers conferred by the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 168, Block I, Paterson Survey District: Area, 82 acres and 20 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 5937.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of December 1951.

Lands Reserved Under the Scenery Preservation Act 1908

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act 1908 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, I, Bernard Cyril, Baron Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in Block VII, Russell Survey District, containing by admeasurement 173 acres, more or less, being Ngaiotonga No. 3 Block, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 693, folio 59 (Auckland Registry). (M.L. plan 5498c.)
