Revoking in Part a Proclamation Setting Apart Crown Land for Housing Purposes in Westland Land District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 9 of the Housing Act 1919, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke, in so far as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, the Proclamation dated the 23rd day of August 1949, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 51 of the 1st day of September 1949, at page 1807, setting apart Crown land for the purposes of Part I of the Housing Act 1919, the said land being no longer required for such purposes.

SCHEDULE

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that area situated in the Borough of Hokitika containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 1182, being part Section 4000, Town of Hokitika, Block I, Kaniere Survey District (formerly described as Reserve 557, Town of Hokitika), and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 46, folio 77 (Westland Registry).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of October 1951.

Partial Revocation of a Proclamation Declaring Certain Crown Land to be Subject to Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act 1936

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Maori Purposes Act 1939, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke a Proclamation made on the 29th day of November 1941 and published in the Gazette on the 4th day of December 1941, at page 3840, and affecting Section 9, Block V, Hohoura East Survey District, and other blocks, in so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Mangonui County containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 38·5 perches, more or less, being part of Section 55 of Block V, Hohoura East Survey District, as shown on the plan numbered 36497 lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.A. 1/1/18, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of October 1951.

Additional Land Near Beach Loop Taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS additional land is required near Beach Loop for the purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway :

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes.

All situated in Block V, Pāritu Survey District, Cook County. In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of Minister of Railways at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 19th day of October 1951.
