NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL
In the matter of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives relating to private Bills and in the matter of a private Bill intituled “An Act to amend an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the CHURCH PROPERTY TRUSTEES, a body corporate incorporated under and by virtue of certain Ordinances of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the late Province of Canterbury intituled respectively the Church Property Trust Ordinance, Session II, No. 3, and the Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance 1867, intends to present a petition to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled and during this present session thereof for leave to introduce the above-mentioned Bill, the objects of which said Bill are to amend the Church Property Trust (Canterbury) Act 1879, so as to provide that payments to the Bishop of Christchurch from the income of the Bishopric Estate and payments to the Dean of Christchurch and Canons of Christchurch Cathedral from the income of the Dean and Chapter Estate, shall cease to be paid without deduction therefrom.
The promoter of the Bill is the said the Church Property Trustees and the address to which communications or notices to the promoter may be sent and at which a copy of the Bill may be inspected is at the offices of Elmo Connal Champion, Solicitor for the Church Property Trustees, 83 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that, by an entry dated 8 October 1951 in the minute-book of the above-named company, the following special resolution was duly passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. TURNER SMITH, Public Accountant, of Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

It was resolved:—
“(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(2) That Mr. S. M. GRAHAM, of Christchurch, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Omnibus Purchase Loan 1951
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the Omnibus Purchase Loan 1951 of £26,000, authorized to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing omnibuses and a light van, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·2845d. in the pound upon the whole amount of unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Timaru, and such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”
Certified copy of resolution passed at a meeting of the Timaru City Council held on Monday, 24 September 1951.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the principal and interest and other charges in respect of the Tauranga Electric-power Board Electrical Extension Loan 1951 of £80,000, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act by a poll of ratepayers taken on the 6th day of April 1951 for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s district, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourteen twenty-fifths (14/25) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tauranga Electric-power Board District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Board on the 19th September 1951.
