Changing the Purpose of the Reservation Over Portion of the Mount Roskill Domain

Present:
THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the portion of the Mount Roskill Domain, described in the Schedule hereto, shall cease to be subject to Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and shall be deemed to be a reserve for a kindergarten site subject to Part I of the said Act, was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 23rd day of November, 1950:
And whereas such notice of intention was duly laid before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 7 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928:
And whereas the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, by resolutions dated the 29th day of November, 1950, approved the proposed change of purpose as aforesaid:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection (1) of section 41 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the portion of the Mount Roskill Domain, described in the Schedule hereto, shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be a reserve for a kindergarten site subject to Part I of the said Act.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF MOUNT ROSKILL DOMAIN
ALL that area situated in Block IV, Titirangi Survey District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 27·8 perches, more or less, being part Lot 113 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 16446, being part Allotment 121 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/908A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Recreation Reserves in South Auckland Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserves for recreation in the South Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserves shall hereafter form parts of the Taupo Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Taupo Domain Board.
