In the matter of the Companies Act 1933 and in the matter
of DRYDEN AND MARGAN, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of
the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on
the 25th day of September 1951 presented to the said Court by
JAMES HERBERT FERRIER DRYDEN, of No. 197 Great South Road,
Papatoetoe, Auckland, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Company
Director; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before
the Court sitting at Auckland on the 19th day of November 1951,
at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of
the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an
order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person
or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition
will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company
requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated
charge for the same.

HASTINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR SPORTS-GROUND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1933
WHEREAS it is provided by section 308 of the Municipal
Corporations Act 1933, as follows:—
“ 1. In order to provide for the health, amusement, and in-
struction of the public the Council may—
“ (a) Take, purchase, or otherwise provide and maintain land
and buildings within or without the borough to be
used as or for the purposes of pleasure-grounds, sports-
grounds, rifle ranges, gymnasiums, physical training
schools, gardens, zoological gardens, music and dance
halls, libraries, museums and art galleries.”
And whereas it is the intention of the Hastings Borough Councils
to provide and maintain further land within the Borough of Hastings
to be used as sports-grounds: Now, therefore, notice is hereby
given that the Hastings Borough Council proposes, under the afore-
said provisions and other provisions of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1933 and under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1933
and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to take
for the purpose of certain public works—namely, for a sports-ground
at Hastings—the land described in the Schedule hereto: And
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required
to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to
the said Council at Hastings Street, Hastings, and is there open
for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office
hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public
works or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded
objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking
of the said land are hereby called upon to set forth the same in
writing and to send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the Hastings Borough Council addressed
to the Town Clerk at his said office.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of land required to be taken for the above public
works: 1 rood 15·2 perches.
Being part of the Heretaunga Block situated in Townshend Street
in the Borough of Hastings; coloured blue on the said plan.
Dated this 24th day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and fifty-one (1951).

DEED POLL (CHANGE OF SURNAME)
NOTICE is hereby given that by deed poll dated the 14th day
of September 1951 and enrolled in the Supreme Court at
Hamilton on the 26th day of September 1951, under No. G.R. 3068,
I, AGNES ETHEL SHARP, of Mount Maunganui, Domestic, formerly
called AGNES ETHEL McCULLY, have renounced and abandoned the
surname of McCULLY and have assumed and adopted for all times
and purposes the surname of SHARP.

Hamilton, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the
purposes of such winding-up.
