Notice of Intention to Take Land for Better Utilization in Block I, Belmont Survey District
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for better utilization; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Porirua and is there open for inspection and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality and Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant dated the 21st day of February 1949* which relates to part of the area described in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waikato County—
All that area adjacent to Hamilton City consisting of—
(1) All that portion of the Hamilton–Rotorua State Highway No. 18, commencing at the eastern boundary of Hamilton City, and terminating at a point 3 chains measured along the said State Highway in a south-easterly direction from its junction with the Hamilton–Paeroa State Highway No. 17.
(2) All that portion of the Hamilton–Paeroa State Highway No. 17, commencing at its junction with the Hamilton–Rotorua State Highway No. 18, and terminating at a point 3 chains measured along the said Hamilton–Paeroa State Highway in a north-easterly direction from the said junction.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport doth hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be within a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section, to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Rotorua County :—
All that area at Mamaku consisting of—
(1) The Maraeroa Main Highway No. 324, commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the said main highway in a northerly direction from its junction with Mamaku Street, and terminating at the said junction.
(2) Mamaku Street, commencing at a point 18 chains measured along the said street in a south-westerly direction from its junction with the Maraeroa Main Highway, and terminating at a point 5 chains measured along the said Mamaku Street in a south-easterly direction from the said junction.

NOTICE is hereby given—
(1) That, in response to Board of Trade Notice No. 4, the Board has received statements of objections to the exemption from import licensing in respect of goods from other than scheduled countries comprised in the following items, namely :—
Ex T.I. 180 (6) . . Circular knitted artificial piece-goods ;
Ex T.I. 180 (7) . . Knitted cotton piece-goods ;
Ex T.I. 183 (2) (a) . . Knitted woollen piece-goods.
(2) That persons, firms, or organizations considering themselves or their members likely to be materially affected by the continuance of the import licensing of these goods and desirous of lodging an objection to such continuance must do so in writing by sending five copies of the statement of objections addressed to the undersigned so as to reach him on or before 10 October 1951 :
(3) That each statement lodged as above should state clearly but concisely the grounds of objection to continuance :
(4) That the Board desires to hear oral representations in regard to the objections and has fixed a hearing for Wednesday, 17 October 1951, at 10.30 a.m., in the Board Room, 1st Floor, Departmental Building, Stout Street, Wellington : and
(5) That those persons, firms, or organizations who have objected in writing to the exemption from licensing, or who in response to this notice lodge objections in writing to the continuance of licensing, may attend the hearing referred to in (4) above.
