Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Wellington Land Districts, Vested in the Auckland and Wellington Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools, to be Vested in His Majesty the King

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act, 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school-site or part of a school-site which, in his opinion, is no longer required for that purpose, shall be vested in His Majesty; and thereupon the school-site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in His Majesty freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in His Majesty the King, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.
FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
Allotment 159, Parish of Wairau, situated in Block VIII, Waipu Survey District: Area, 11 acres 1 rood 26 perches, more or less. (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/1045; D.O. 8/1418)
Allotment 204, Parish of Mareretu, situated in Block VIII, Matakohé Survey District: Area, 10 acres, more or less. (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/1054; D.O. 8/1103)
SECOND SCHEDULE
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT
Section 21A, Block V, Puketoi Survey District: Area, 5 acres, more or less. (S.O. plan 14389.) (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/622; D.O. 8/703)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of September 1951.

Section 1, Block VIII, Maketu Survey District: Area, 19 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 2589L.) (L. and S. H.O. 6/6/605; D.O. 8/805)
All that area containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 9·5 perches, more or less, being part Section 4, Block III, Te Tumu Survey District, being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 329, folio 134 (Auckland Registry); and Section 4A, Block III, aforesaid, area, 1 acre and 7·8 perches, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/300A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
