A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:—

Situated in Block XVI, Cloudy Bay Survey District (Marlborough R.D.). (S.O. 4036.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135182, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed: 2 roods 36·6 perches. Adjoining or passing through Subdivision I of Section 58 and parts of Sections 59 and 228, Hutt District.

Situated in Blocks IX and X, Belmont Survey District (City of Lower Hutt). (S.O. 22267.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 135172, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Altering the Boundaries of the Taranaki Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boundaries of the Taranaki Electric-power District so as to include therein the areas described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

(a) All that area situated in the Taranaki Land District, comprising portion of the Eltham County, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western bank of the Patea River on the northern boundary of the Eltham County and proceeding generally north-easterly then south-easterly along the boundary of the Eltham County, as described in New Zealand Gazette of the 7th day of January, 1926, at page 2, to the north-western corner of Section 4, Block VII, Omoana Survey District; thence generally southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 4 and Section 10, Block XI, Omoana Survey District, and its production to the middle of the north branch of the Whenuakura River; thence to and down the middle of the Whenuakura River to a point in line with the westernmost corner of Section 2, Block XI, Omoana Survey District; thence to, and generally southerly along, the western boundaries of the said Section 2 and Section 2, Block XV, Omoana Survey District, to the southern boundary of the Eltham County described as aforesaid; thence generally westerly along the aforesaid boundary of the Eltham County to the western bank of the Patea River; thence generally northerly along the western bank of the Patea River to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 170, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon outlined in blue.

(b) All that area of land situated in the Taranaki Land District, comprising portion of the Clifton County, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block VII, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence southerly generally along the western boundary of Section 2, Block VII, aforesaid to the Puke Road; thence by a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across the said Puke Road to its southern side; thence northerly, south-easterly, and again northerly by the southern side of the said Puke Road to the north-eastern corner of Section 3, Block XI, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence by a right line to the middle of the Waitara River; thence southerly and westerly generally down the middle of the said river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 2, Block X, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence westerly and northerly generally to and along the south-western and western boundary of the said Section 2 to Okoki Road; thence by a right line across Okoki Road to the southern boundary of Section 7, Block X, aforesaid; thence northerly generally by the eastern boundary of the said Section 7 and the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 8, Block VI, Upper Waitara Survey District, to the Kaka Road; thence by a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across the said road to its eastern side; thence northerly generally by the eastern side of the said Kaka Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at New Plymouth and numbered 6160; thence north-easterly generally along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2 to the southern boundary of part Section 4, Block VI, aforesaid; thence in a generally north-easterly direction by the present boundary of the Taranaki Electric-Power District, as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 50 of the 6th day of July, 1939, at page 1936, to the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block VII, Upper Waitara Survey District, being the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.H.D. 171, deposited as aforesaid, and thereon outlined in blue.
