LOWER HUTT CITY CORPORATION
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes, by virtue of the Public Works Act, 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act, 1927, and all other acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work—to wit, the extension of Hinemoa Street in the City of Lower Hutt—and for the purposes of such public work the pieces of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said pieces of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council, corner of Laings Road and High Street, and is there open for inspection: And notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said pieces of land, or any one or more of them, should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said pieces of land, or any one or more of them, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situate as aforesaid.

As the same is more particularly shown coloured orange on the said plan deposited for inspection at the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of J. A. DAVIE & COMPANY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above-named company held at the registered office, Cromwell Chambers, Dunedin, on Friday, the 24th day of August, 1951, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—
That, as it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, it is hereby resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily; and
That JAMES FAIRBAIRN LANG, of Dunedin, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.
All persons or companies having claims against the above-named company are required to send full particulars thereof to the undersigned on or before the 30th day of September, 1951, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

TARARUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Tararua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £5,000 (to be known as Housing Loan, 1951) authorized to be raised by the Tararua Electric-power Board in New Zealand by special order under the above-mentioned Act, and of all other Acts and authorities it thereunto enabling for the purpose of buying land and erecting two houses for employees, the said Tararua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/44th (one forty-fourth) of a penny in the £ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in those portions of the rating area of the Tararua Electric-power District comprising the following special rating areas—namely, the Board’s original district as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of the 23rd day of March, 1922, together with the Akitio County as defined in the New Zealand Gazette No. 21 of the 23rd day of March, 1922, and more particularly in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28 of the 7th day of April, 1938, at page 893; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Tararua Electric-power Board held on the 17th day of August, 1951.

NOTICE TO DEBENTURE-HOLDERS OF INTENTION TO EXERCISE OPTION
In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the New Plymouth Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and provisions contained in paragraph 16 (1) of the New Plymouth Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), and the terms under which securities authorized by the said Order were issued, the New Plymouth City Council (formerly known as the New Plymouth Borough Council) resolved at a meeting of the said Council held on the 20th day of August, 1951, to exercise the option contained in the securities in respect of the debentures described in the Schedule hereto, such debentures being for the amounts and maturing on the dates set out in the said Schedule.
