Result of Poll for Proposed Loan

THE following notice, received by the Right Hon. the Minister of Finance from the Mayor of the Borough of Stratford, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Stratford was taken on the 15th day of August, 1951, on a proposal of the Stratford Borough Council to borrow the sum of £30,000 for the purpose of a waterworks improvement scheme, including—
The construction of a storage reservoir, including the purchase of land and the acquisition of any necessary easements, rights or advantages, or access way, and the purchase of all necessary materials required in connection therewith and incidental thereto, and the payment of compensation for any lands taken or injuriously affected; and
The extension and improvement of the water reticulation system within the borough and works incidental thereto, including the purchase of pipes and fittings, the reconditioning of pipes, excavations, laying of new mains, removal of certain existing mains, the transfer of services, the provision of new services where necessary, back filling, and restoration of road surfaces; and
The purchase and installation of a complete filtration and treatment plant for the water supply to the Borough, and the connection thereof to the water reticulation system, including the purchase of all materials, and the erection of all buildings, and the provision of all machinery incidental thereto.
