FRANKLIN ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers (if any) thereunto enabling, the Franklin Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Franklin Electric-power Board Reticulation Loan of £90,000, 1950, authorized to be raised by the Franklin Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act and the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the constituent districts of Franklin County, part Raglan County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town, and Tuakau Town, comprising the Franklin Electric-power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters or things that the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards’ Act, 1925, and its amendments, and, in particular, without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect, and construct additions and extensions to the present system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land, easements, and general equipment, and to erect buildings within or without such district as hereinbefore defined, the said Franklin Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three two hundred and fiftieths of a penny in the pound (2³⁵⁄₀d. in the pound) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the constituent districts of Franklin County, part Raglan County, Pukekohe Borough, Waiuku Town, and Tuakau Town, comprising the Franklin Electric-power district, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March of each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Franklin Electric-power Board held on the 25th day of July, 1951.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and their respective Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work, namely for a street at Happy Valley Road South in the City of Wellington and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington) that I, CLAUDIA NANCY McGUIRE, of Wellington, Spinster, now lately called CLAUDIA LURLINE McGUIRE, do hereby absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my former Christian name of LURLINE so that I may henceforth be called and known not by my former Christian name of LURLINE but by my assumed Christian name of NANCY, and for the purposes of evidencing such change I hereby declare that I shall at all times henceforth in all actions and proceedings, dealings and transactions, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said Christian name of NANCY in lieu of my former Christian name of LURLINE, and I hereby expressly authorize and request all persons at all times henceforth to designate and address me by my said Christian name of NANCY accordingly.
