PURSUANT to regulation 3 (5) of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations 1950, the Minister of Transport doth hereby approve the Patangata County Council's proposed classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Patangata County.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block III, Tainui Survey District, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road: And notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post-office at Mokau and are there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

The Standards Act, 1941—Draft New Zealand Standard Specification—No. D. 3807: Draft Revision of Part IV (Basic Loads and Stresses to be Used in Design) of the Code of Building By-laws (N.Z.S.S. 95)

NOTICE is hereby given that the above draft New Zealand Standard Specification is now being circulated to affected interests for consideration and comment. The closing date fixed for such comment is the 9th November, 1951.

All persons who may be affected by this specification once it has been declared a standard specification by the Minister of Industries and Commerce may, at any time before the closing date for comments, obtain, on application, free copies from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Hamilton Chambers, 201 Lambton Quay, Wellington, so as to have an opportunity to consider the draft and to comment thereon to the Standards Council or to an appropriate committee of the Council in accordance with subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act, 1941.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936 (Tuparoa Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby revokes, so far as it affects the land described in the Schedule hereto, a certain notice dated the 12th day of September, 1931, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 67 of the 17th day of September, 1931, at page 2822, whereby the provisions of subsection (3) of section 23 of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Maori Land Amendment Act, 1936), were applied to, inter alia, the said land.

ALL that area of land in the Wairawhiti Maori Land Court District containing 48 acres, more or less, being the land known as Totaranui A 1c Block, and being part of the land formerly known as Totaranui A 1 Block, situate in Block VII, Mata Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 1/4/4, deposited in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice to Persons Affected by Application for Licence Under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit

F. W. Moat, Te Mata Road, Havelock North, has applied for permission to shift two petrol-pumps from their present position to a new site forty yards east on the same road.

Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application should, not later than 30th August, 1951, submit any written evidence and representations they may desire to tender.
