Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work, and Not Required
for That Purpose, to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act, 1928, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the
land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject
to the Land Act, 1948.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land :
35·9 perches.
Being Lot 89, D.P. 38525, being part Allotment 87, Parish of Titi-
rangi, and being part of the land comprised and described in
certificate of title, Volume 705, folio 382 (Auckland Land
Registry).

Situated in the Borough of Mount Roskill.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the
Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of August, 1951.

Altering the Boundaries of the Otago Electric-power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter the boun-
daries of the Otago Electric-power District so as to include therein
the areas described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

(a) All that area in the Otago Land District, being parts of
the Taieri, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, and Maniototo Counties, bounded
by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Block IV,
Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence generally easterly along
the northern boundaries of the said Block IV and Blocks IV and III,
Highlay Survey District, and Block VIII, Waihemo Survey Dis-
trict, and Run 255 to the south-western boundary of Run 217c ;
thence generally south-easterly along the south-western boundaries
of Runs 217c and 109 to the eastern boundary of Block III, Waihemo
Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary to
the Razorback Track; thence generally south-easterly along the
north-eastern side of Razorback Track to the eastern boundary of
Block XV, Moeraki Survey District; thence due south to Trig. K
Razorback; thence due west along the southern boundary of
Block XV, Moeraki Survey District, to the south-eastern boundary of
Section 20, Makareao Settlement; thence generally south-westerly
along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 20 and 23, Makareao
Settlement, to the middle of the Waihemo River; thence westerly
along the middle of that river to and along the southern boundary
of Block II, Dunback Survey District, to the eastern boundary
of Section 29, Block IV, Dunback Survey District; thence southerly
along that boundary to the Middlemarch–Dunback Main Highway ;
thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that highway
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 32,
Block IV, aforesaid; thence south-easterly to and along that boun-
dary and in a straight line through Trig. Q, Block IV, aforesaid
to and across the Middlemarch–Dunback Main Highway; thence
southerly along the eastern side of that highway to a point in line
with the north-western boundary of Block VII, Moeraki Survey
District; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to the
western boundary of Block VII aforesaid; thence due south to
the northern point of Block I, Dunback Survey District; thence
south-westerly, due west and due north along the eastern, southern,
and western boundaries of Block VII, Dunback Survey District,
to Stoneburn Road; thence generally north-westerly along the
southern side of that road to the southern boundary of Block II,
Highlay Survey District; thence generally westerly along the
southern boundaries of Blocks II and I, Highlay Survey District,
to the eastern boundary of Block II, Budle Survey District; thence
due south along the eastern boundaries of Blocks II and V, Budle
Survey District, and Blocks III and V, Hummock Survey District,
to the southern boundary of the said Block V; thence generally
westerly along the southern boundaries of Blocks V and II, Hum-
mock Survey District, and Blocks XIII and XII, Strath Taieri
Survey District, to the western boundary of Section 14, Block XII,
aforesaid; thence northerly along the western boundaries of Sec-
tions 14 and 9, Block XII, and Section 13, Block X, Strath Taieri
Survey District, to and across the Middlemarch–Dunback Main
Highway; thence northerly in a straight line to Trig. K, Block X,
aforesaid; thence northerly in a straight line to Trig. O, Block VI,
Strath Taieri Survey District; thence north-easterly in a straight
line to Trig. W on the eastern boundary of Block XI, Rock and
Pillar Survey District; thence due east, due north, and again due
east along the western and northern boundaries of Block XII,
Rock and Pillar Survey District, to, and due north along the
western boundary of Block V, Highlay Survey District, to the
southern boundary of Block IV, Rock and Pillar Survey District ;
thence due west and due north along the southern and western
boundaries of the said Block IV to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
S.H.D. 125, deposited in the office of the Minister in Charge of the
State Hydro-electric Department, and thereon bordered blue.

(b) All that area in the Otago Land District, being part of the
Waihemo County bounded by a line commencing at the north-
eastern corner of Block XII, Moeraki Survey District; thence due
south along the eastern boundary of that block to the northern
boundary of Block VI, Moeraki Survey District; thence due east
along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of Block VI afore-
said; thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the northern
side of a road bounding Section 31 and part Section 46, Block XI,
Moeraki Survey District, to and across and southerly along the
eastern side of the Horse Range Road to a closed road in Block IX,
Moeraki Survey District; thence generally south-easterly along
the eastern side of said closed road traversing the summit of the
Horse Range to the southern boundary of Block IX aforesaid ;
thence due west along the southern boundaries of Blocks IX and VI
aforesaid, to and across Switchback Road; thence northerly along
the western side of Switchback Road to its junction with Munro
Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of
Munro Road to the western boundary of Block VI aforesaid; thence
due north along the western boundaries of Blocks VI and XII
aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Section 26, Makareao Settle-
ment, Block XII, aforesaid; thence westerly and generally northerly
along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 26,
to its most northern corner; thence north-westerly along the north-
eastern boundary of Section 28, Makareao Settlement, Block XII,
aforesaid, to the western boundary of Block XIV, Moeraki Survey
District; thence due north along that boundary to Razorback
Track; thence generally south-easterly over Razorback Range by
the north-eastern side of Razorback Track to a point in line with
the western boundary of Section 3, Block XIV, aforesaid; thence
due south to and along the said boundary to the northern boundary
of Block XII, Moeraki Survey District; thence due east along the
northern boundary of Block XII aforesaid, to the point of com-
mencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
S.H.D. 121, deposited as aforesaid, and thereon bordered blue.

(c) All that area in the Otago Land District, being part of the
Maniototo County bounded by a line commencing at Dansey Pass,
being the north-eastern corner of Run 206B; thence generally
south-easterly along the eastern boundaries of Runs 206B, 206D,
206E, and 203c to Kakanui Peak; thence generally south-westerly
along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Runs 203c and
203B to Swinburn Peak; thence due north and due west along the
eastern and northern boundaries of Block VIII, Swinburn Survey
District, to the eastern boundary of Block IV, Swinburn Survey
District; thence due north and due west along the eastern and northern
boundaries of the said Block IV to and north-westerly along the
western boundary of Section 18, Block I, Swinburn Survey District,
to and across Scotts Lane; thence north-easterly along the
northern side of Scotts Lane to Pigroot Back Road; thence north-
westerly along the southern side of that road and the southern
boundary of Section 5, Block I, aforesaid, to the eastern bank of the
Kyeburn; thence northerly along the eastern bank of the Kyeburn
to a point in line with the southern boundary of Block XII, Kyeburn
Survey District; thence due west across the Kyeburn and along the
southern boundaries of Blocks XII and I, Kyeburn Survey District,
to and across a road on the western boundary of Block I aforesaid ;
thence generally northerly and easterly along the western side of
that road and the western and northern boundaries of the said Block
I to the western boundary of Section 5, Block IV, Kyeburn Survey
District; thence northerly and easterly along the western and
northern boundaries of Section 5 aforesaid to Trig. B; thence by a
straight line to the south-western corner of Section 33, Block V,
Kyeburn Survey District; thence generally easterly along the
southern boundaries of Section 33 and part 15 and its extension to
the Kyeburn; thence generally north-easterly along the middle of
the Kyeburn and the north-western boundary of Run 206B to
Dansey Pass, the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked S.H.D. 124, deposited as aforesaid, and thereon bordered
blue.

(d) All that area in the Otago Land District, being part of the
Maniototo County bounded by a line commencing at the north-
eastern corner of Block X, Upper Taieri Survey District; thence
due south along the eastern boundary of the said Block X to its
south-eastern corner; thence due west along the southern boundary
of Block X aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Block XIV, Upper
Taieri Survey District; thence due south along that eastern
boundary to the southern boundary of Block XIV aforesaid; thence
due west along the southern boundaries of Blocks XIV and XIII,
Upper Taieri Survey District, to and across the Waipiata–Styx
Main Road; thence generally northerly along the western side of
that main road to the middle of the Taieri River; thence south-
easterly along the middle of the Taieri River to a point in line
with the south-eastern boundary of Section 24, Block X, aforesaid ;
thence north-easterly and northerly to and along the eastern
boundaries of Sections 24, 1, and 20, Block X, aforesaid, to the
southern corner of Section 9, Block VI, Upper Taieri Survey District ;
thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said
section 9 to a point in line due west of the north-eastern corner of
Block X aforesaid; thence due east along that line to the point of
commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
S.H.D. 123, deposited as aforesaid, and thereon bordered blue.

(e) All that area in the Otago Land District, being part of the
Maniototo County bounded by a line commencing at the north-
western corner of Block I, Rock and Pillar Survey District; thence
due east along the northern boundary of the said Block I to
Shepherds Hut Creek; thence generally south-easterly along the
middle of that creek to the eastern boundary of Section 26, Block I,
aforesaid; thence southerly along that boundary to and across
