THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Cyril Crawford Sands,
Keith Allan Polglaze,
Stanley Bruce Langford,
Percy Vernon Russ,
Owen Gladstone Green,
James Edward Cain,
Cecil Henry Williams, and
Arthur Edward Jacques

to be the Manu Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the 9th day of February, 1951, at 8.30 o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Tui Hall as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Recreation Reserve in the Nelson Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day of January, 1951

Present:

THE HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Nelson Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Manu Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by subsection 3 of section 113 of the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921–22, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint—

Room No. 7 on the Ground Floor of the Departmental Building, Stout Street, in the City of Wellington,

to be the Patent Office, under and for the purposes of the said Act.

Lieutenant Bernard Lawrence Twomey, D.S.C., promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, to date 7th December, 1950.

Lieutenant Alfred Vivian Kempthorne, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, to date 14th December, 1950.

Lieutenant George Brian White Johnson, R.N., transferred to the Royal New Zealand Navy in the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 8th July, 1948, to date 9th January, 1951.
