‘Racecourse Deviation’ section of the Masterton-Castlepoint
Main Highway No. 835, the Castlepoint County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of seventy-one thousandths of a
penny (⁷¹⁄₁₀₀₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property in the County of Castlepoint on capital values; and that
the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of the said loan, and shall be payable annually on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said
loan, being a period of twenty years or until such time as the loan
is fully paid off.”

NGARUAWAHIA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets, Footpaths, and Waterworks Loan, 1949, £34,720
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Ngaruawahia
Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £34,720, authorized to be raised by the
Ngaruawahia Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the formation and concreting of footpaths, street sealing, purchase
of plant, and extension and improvements to waterworks, the said
Ngaruawahia Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one shilling and fivepence (1s. 5d.) in the pound upon the
rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of
the Borough of Ngaruawahia, and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of
March in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of
the ROTORUA LAKE SERVICES CO., LTD.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company, duly convened and held at the registered office of
the company, Yorkshire House, Shortland Street, Auckland, on
Friday, 6th July, 1951, it was resolved as a special resolution that
the company be wound up voluntarily and that Mr. RONALD KEITH
WYLIE be appointed liquidator for the purposes of the winding up.

Maturity Date
IN terms of the Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Loan
Conversion Order, 1934, as published in the New Zealand Gazette
of the 22nd day of June, 1934, at page 1951, the Central Waikato
Electric-power Board hereby gives notice to holders of debentures
numbered 717 to 1138 inclusive that the Board intends to exercise
its option to redeem the said conversion loan debentures on the
1st day of August, 1952.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Raglan County Council
proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928,
to take the portions of land described in the First Schedule hereto
for road and to stop the portions of road described in the Second
Schedule hereto.
A plan of the portions of land proposed to be taken and the
portions of road proposed to be stopped lies open to public inspection
at the office of the Raglan County Council, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, during forty days from the date of the first publication of
this notice. All persons objecting to the proposal must lodge their
objections in writing at the office of the Council on or before the
30th day of August, 1951.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE FOR A WATER-RACE
UNDER THE MINING ACT, 1926
NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Application No. 6 of
1951 I will apply to the Warden of the Otago Mining District
at Naseby on Monday, the 6th day of August, 1951, at 2 p.m., for
a water-race licence for twenty-one years to authorize the diversion
of three heads of water for irrigation and watering stock by means
of a water-race commencing in the Shag River about 400 yards
upstream from my homestead on Crown lands of River Bed Reserve,
and thence north-east through my freehold lands about 200 ft. to
top terrace (crossing a road-line).
