Revoking the Reservation Over Portions of a Scenic Reserve in the Marlborough Land District

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto are portions of a reserve duly set apart for scenic purposes:
And whereas the said lands are no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value thereon:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 8 of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the lands described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT
ALL those areas containing by admeasurement a total of 2 roods 36 perches, more or less, being parts of Section 71, Block V, Mount Fyffe Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/609A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. plan 3894.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of July, 1951.

Proclaiming a Road-line Laid Out in Blocks II and VI, Waoku Survey District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Maori Land Court made on the 17th day of January, 1951, duly laid out as a road-line in pursuance of sections 162 and 479 of the Maori Land Act, 1931:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section 486 of the said Act:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection (2) of section 487 of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section 487 of the Maori Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 1 acre 23·3 perches.
Being portion of Mangawhero G 3B Block.
Situated in Blocks II and VI, Waoku Survey District. (M.L. plan 13301.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2042, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 3067, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of July, 1951.

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section 486 of the said Act:
And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection (2) of section 487 of the said Act:

Lands Reserved in the North Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts

WHEREAS by section 167 of the Land Act, 1948, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart as a reserve, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral lease or pastoral occupation licence, any Crown land for any purpose which, in his opinion, is desirable in the public interest, and notice thereof shall be published in the New Zealand Gazette.
Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby reserve, subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act, 1948, and subject also to the reservations imposed by section 8 of the Coal Mines Amendment Act, 1950, the lands in the North Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be reserved.
