Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in Taieri County (Notice No. Ag. 5074)

THE following special order made by the Taieri County Council on the 22nd day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Taieri County Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, that as from the 1st July, 1951, all weeds included in the First Schedule to the Act shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within the Taieri County.

Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in Kiwitea County (Notice No. Ag. 5075)

THE following special order made by the Kiwitea County Council on the 20th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
- That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto be and the same are hereby declared to be noxious weeds in the whole of the County of Kiwitea within the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SCHEDULE
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris). Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis). Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus). Burdock (Arctium, any species). Common broom (Cytisus scoparius). Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare). Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea). Goat's rue (Galega officinalis). Gorse (Ulex, any species). Hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna). Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Lupin (Lupinus arboreus). Milk thistle or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum). Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea). Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus). Silver poplar (Populus alba var. nivea). St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum). Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa). Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum). - That the special order be in substitution of any previous special orders relating to noxious weeds and any such previous special orders are hereby revoked, and shall cease to have any effect after the coming into force of this special order.

THE following special order made by the Geraldine County Council on the 11th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Part IV of the Counties Act, 1920, the Geraldine County Council hereby makes by special order, a by-law under the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, that the following weeds be declared noxious within the boundaries of the County of Geraldine :- Blackberry) Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus). Burdock (Arctium, any species). Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle (Cirsium arvense). Common broom (Cytius scoparius). Gorse (Ulex, any species). Hemlock (Conium maculatum). Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea). Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa). St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum). Star thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa).

Appointment of Customs Aerodrome
I, CHARLES MOORE BOWDEN, Minister of Customs, in exercise of the powers vested in me for this purpose by clause 5 of the Customs (Aircraft) Regulations 1939, do, by this Warrant, appoint as a Customs aerodrome that area known as Harewood Aerodrome situated in Blocks 5, 6, and 9, Christchurch Survey District, Paparua County, and having boundary lines described as follows : Commencing at a point in Block V on the northern boundary of C.T. 449/236, at the intersection of Sinclairs Road and Harewood Road; thence generally in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Harewood Road to the intersection of the eastern boundary of C.T. 333/264 in Block VI; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of C.T. 333/264 to the intersection with the southern boundary of C.T. 392/182; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of C.T. 186/177; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of C.T. 186/177 to the northern boundary of Orchards Road; thence across Orchards Road to the southern boundary; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Orchards Road to the intersection with Russley Road; thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Russley Road to the northern boundary of C.T. 499/300; thence in a westerly and southerly direction around C.T. 499/300 to the intersection with the southern boundary of C.T. 499/299; thence in a westerly direction along the southern boundary of C.T. 499/299 to the eastern boundary of Drury Road; thence across Drury Road to the western boundary; thence generally in a south-westerly direction along the western boundary of Drury Road to the intersection of the eastern boundary of C.T. 298/150; thence in a south-westerly direction along the eastern boundaries of C.T. 298/150, C.T. 249/279, and C.T. 449/236 to the northern boundary of Coringa Road; thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundary of Coringa Road to a point 900 ft. from centre-line of the main runway (bearing 40° T and 220° T); thence across Coringa Road and in a south-westerly direction parallel to and 900 ft. from the centre-line of the main runway, through C.T. 394/113 and C.T. 318/154, Block V and Block IX, for approximately 3,100 ft.; thence at a right angle in a north-westerly direction through C.T. 318/154, C.T. 471/66, and part C.T. 448/57, Block IX and Block V, for a distance of 1,500 ft.; thence at a right angle in a north-easterly direction parallel to and 600 ft. from the centre-line of the main runway through part C.T. 448/57, C.T. 318/54, and C.T. 481/127, Block V, to the southern boundary of Coringa Road; thence across Coringa Road to the northern boundary; thence in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundary of Coringa Road to the intersection of the eastern boundary of C.T. 138/152; thence generally in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of C.T. 138/152 to a point 450 ft. from the centre-line of the secondary runway (bearing 130° T and 310° T); thence in a north-westerly direction parallel to and 450 ft. from the centre-line of the secondary runway through C.T. 394/112 and C.T. 448/56 for a distance of approximately 500 ft.; thence at a right angle in a north-easterly direction through C.T. 448/56 and C.T. 448/57 for 1,200 ft.; thence at a right angle in a south-easterly direction parallel to and 750 ft. from the centre-line of the secondary runway through C.T. 448/57 to the western boundary of Sinclairs Road; thence across Sinclairs Road to the eastern boundary; thence in a north-easterly direction along the eastern boundary of Sinclairs Road to the point of commencement; as the said area is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 132940, deposited at the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red. And do likewise appoint the building known as No. 3 Hangar, situated at the north-east corner of the Buildings area, together with the adjacent tarmac on the east, north, and west sides of such building to be the Examination Station at the said aerodrome.
