Recreation Reserve in the Taranaki Land District Brought Under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of July, 1951

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by section 34 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Mangapehi Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 3, Block IX, Mapara Survey District: Area, 4 acres 1 rood 15 perches, more or less. (S.O. plan 8408.)

Officer Authorized to Take and Receive Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that

Colin Barkwith Allan

being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Deputy District Public Trustee at New Plymouth, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Seddon Domain, Marlborough Land District

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection (1) (d) of section 52 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Seddon Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Seddon Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF SEDDON DOMAIN

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 18·5 perches, more or less, being part Section 9, Block VII, Town of Seddon, situated in Block X, Clifford Bay Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L. and S. 1/242, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 16th day of July, 1951.

Increasing Number of Days on Which Charges May be Made for Admission to the Taihape Oval Domain

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 23 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby increase the number of days which may be prescribed by the Taihape Oval Domain Board as days upon which charges may be made, pursuant to section 21 of the said Act, for admission to the domain described in the Schedule hereto, or to any part thereof set apart for a particular purpose, from twenty days to thirty days during the year ending the 31st day of March, 1952.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TAIHAPE OVAL DOMAIN

ALL that area containing 9 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Block X, Township of Taihape, and formerly comprising portion of Taihape Domain.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 16th day of July, 1951.

Notice of Intention to Issue an Order in Council Changing the Reservation Over Portion of the Taupo Domain, South Auckland Land District.

WHEREAS by section 41 of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1948:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is portion of the Taupo Domain but is not required for domain purposes and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a reserve for a site for municipal buildings:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Bernard Cyril Freyberg, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice pursuant to subsection (2) of section 7 of the said Act that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section 41 of the said Act declaring that the portion of the Taupo Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be a reserve for a site for municipal buildings.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—PORTION OF TAupo DOMAIN

ALL that area situated in Block II, Tauhara Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 30·2 perches, more or less, being part Section 5, Block XXXIV, and part Section 1, Block XXXV, Taupo Township. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/268R, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (South Auckland S.O. plan 34796.)
