HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby consent to the assignment to Allen Edward Sagar, of Matiri Valley, Murchison, Farmer, by Edward William Low, of Longford, Murchison, Farmer, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 6th day of April, 1949, and published in the Gazette on the 13th day of the same month at page 903 authorizing him to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Botanical Road, in the City of Palmerston North, Subject to a Condition as to the Building-line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 31 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1948, and section 125 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby authorize the Palmerston North City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for a part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 7 to 22 inclusive of a subdivision of the land fronting the said street (as shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 134294 referred to in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of 48 ft. from the centre-line of the said street, or on Lots 3 and 4 of the said subdivision within a distance of 40 ft. from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of Palmerston North, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 27·11 perches, more or less, being part Lot 55, D.P. 461, being part Rural Section 287, Township of Palmerston North. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134294, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Portion of the Te Horo Farm Settlement Road in the Horowhenua County to be County Road

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of July, 1951

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

SCHEDULE

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Horowhenua County, commencing from a line adjoining the north-eastern corner of Section 1, Block II, Kaitawa Survey District, with the north-western corner of Section 6, Block II, Kaitawa Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction for a distance of 25 chains, more or less, and thence in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 2 chains, more or less, adjoining Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 of Block II, Kaitawa Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 134629, deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Determining the Number of Representatives of the Borough of Westport on the Buller Electric-power Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby determine that the Borough of Westport, being a constituent district of the Buller Electric-power District, shall have three representatives on the Buller Electric-power Board instead of two representatives as heretofore, and that the total number of members of the said Board shall accordingly be increased to six; and doth further determine that the first election of the additional representative of the said constituent district of the Borough of Westport shall be held on Saturday, the 25th day of August, 1951.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £3,000 by the Southland Catchment Board and Prescribing the Conditions Thereof

At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of July, 1951

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Southland Catchment Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes pursuant to the provisions of section 30 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, to raise a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), to be known as “Plant Loan, 1951” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purpose of purchasing plant:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of three thousand (£3,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed eight (8) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.

(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.

WHEREAS the Pohangina County Council (hereinafter called the said local authority) proposes pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928 to borrow the sum of six thousand pounds (£6,000) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Bridges Additional Loan, 1951” (hereinafter called the said loan), for the purposes of meeting the additional cost of completing the works for which the Main Highways Bridges Loan, 1948, of £3,600 was authorized:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section 11 of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section 29 of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of
