The Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950—Notice Declaring Land Taken for Settlement of Discharged Servicemen

WHEREAS an application has been made for the consent of the Land Valuation Court to a transaction which relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto, and to which Part II of the Servicemen's Settlement Act, 1950, applies:
And whereas the purchaser of the said land is neither a discharged serviceman nor a child or grandchild of the vendor:
And whereas the Land Valuation Committee to which the said application was referred, not being satisfied that the Crown had decided not to acquire or arrange for the acquisition of the said land, did on the 14th day of June, 1951, adjourn the said application:
Now, therefore, the Minister of Lands, acting in pursuance of section 31 of the said Act, doth hereby declare that the said land is taken for the settlement of discharged servicemen, and hereby specifies the 20th day of July, 1951, as the date on which the said land shall be deemed to be vested in His Majesty the King.

SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that parcel of land situated in Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and fifty (150) acres one (1) rood, more or less, being Lots 1 and 4 on Deposited Plan 20987, being parts of Motatau No. 4J and No. 4K Blocks, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 474, folio 82 (Auckland Registry).
Also all those parcels of land situated in Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, together containing by admeasurement three (3) acres three (3) roods seven (7) perches, more or less, being parts of Motatau No. 4I Block, and being the balance of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 857, folio 112 (Auckland Registry).
Also all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement four (4) acres and eleven (11) perches, more or less, being Section 3, Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, and being all of the land described in certificate of title, Volume 841, folio 144 (Auckland Registry).

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement ninety-nine (99) acres, being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 37439, being Allotments 235 and 236 and part Allotment 237, Parish of Ngaroto, and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 973, folio 28 (Auckland Registry).

ALL that area situated in Block IV, Tahoraiti Survey District, containing by admeasurement one hundred and one (101) acres two (2) roods, more or less, being Section 3, and being all the land comprised and described in interim certificate of title, volume 58, folio 220 (Hawke's Bay Registry).

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area situated in the Wairuna Estate, containing one (1) acre three (3) roods thirty-nine (39) perches, more or less, being Lot 2 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin, under No. 4945, being part of Section 69, Block III, Waipahi Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificates of title, Volume 285, folios 56 and 57 (Otago Registry).
Also all that area situated in the Wairuna Estate, containing five hundred and ten (510) acres three (3) roods twenty-seven (27) perches, more or less, being Lot 1, on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 4945, being parts of Sections 2, 3, and 5, Block II, and parts of Sections 2 and 69, Block III, Waipahi Survey District, and part of Section 43, Block XI, and part of Section 2 of 22, Block XIII, Pomahaka Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 285, folio 58 (Otago Registry), subject to Order in Council No. 4557, exempting road intersecting the above land from section 128, Public Works Act, 1928, with building-line restrictions.
Also all those areas situated in Wairuna Estate, containing together four hundred and eighty-eight (488) acres three (3) roods eight (8) perches, more or less, being part of Lots 2, 3, and 4 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Dunedin under No. 1276, being part of Section 3, Block II, and parts of Sections 2 and 69, Block III, Waipahi Survey District, and parts of Sections 23, 41, 42, and 43, Block XI, and part of Section 2 of 22, Block XIII, Pomahaka Survey District, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 285, folio 59 (Otago Registry), subject to Order in Council No. 4557, exempting intersecting road and road frontage on southern boundary from section 128, Public Works Act, 1928, with building-line restrictions.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road in Block III, Cloudy Bay Survey District

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Tuamarina and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.
