Plants Declared to be Noxious Weeds in the Bay of Islands County

THE following special order made by the Bay of Islands County Council on the 13th day of June, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the First Schedule to the said Act) are noxious weeds within the County of Bay of Islands.

SCHEDULE

Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Tutsan (Hypericum androsaemum).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Mist flower or Mexican devil (Eupatorium adenophorum).
Californian thistle (Cirsium arvense).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and rubus laciniatus).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. rosa rubiginosa).
Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus).
Milk or variegated thistle (Silybum marianum).
Woolly Nightshade (Solanum auriculatum).
Water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes).
St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum).

THE following special order made by the Riverton Borough Council on the 7th day of May, 1951, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT a resolution by way of special order be made declaring that the following plants be declared to be noxious weeds in the Borough of Riverton, under the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950:—

Blackberry. Hemlock.
Common Broom. Ragwort.
Gorse.

Redefining Boundaries of the City of Napier, the County of Hawke’s Bay, and the Meeanee Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay

Department of Internal Affairs.
Wellington, 9th July, 1951.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the City of Napier are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said City having been altered by an Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 13th day of December, 1950, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 76 of the 14th day of December, 1950, and also by an Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 20th day of March, 1951, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 25 of the 29th day of March, 1951.

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Hawke’s Bay affected by the said Orders in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Meeanee Riding of the County of Hawke’s Bay affected by the Order in Council dated the 20th day of March, 1951, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF NAPIER

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the ocean, being the south-eastern corner of Section 711, Town of Napier; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of the said Section 711 and Section 633, Town of Napier, across the marine Parade, to and along the northern side of Ellison Street to its intersection with the western side of the Railway Reserve; thence southerly across Ellison Street, to and along the western side of the said Railway Reserve to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 10, on plan numbered 6396, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence westerly by a right line through Napier Suburban Section 657, across Te Awa Avenue, to and along the northern boundaries of the said Lot 10 and Lot 9 on the said plan numbered 6396 to the eastern boundary of a Drain Reserve; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Drain Reserve and Lots 5 and 4 on the said plan numbered 6396 to the north-eastern corner of the said Lot 4; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 3 on
